Being an Army wife and seeing the way other civilians act at times is very distressing. I enjoyed this post, Shadowwar, and some of the comments were, well, interesting . Keep up the good work!
does that mean you're female now? *snickers quietly because it sounds like something she would say* I experienced similar frustration when my husband was stationed in Korea. We talked pretty much every day, but the time difference made it very strange at times.

i think it's more about touch than sight, actually I agree with that, but I prefer a nice, squeezable tush. As far as female features, what I have had complimented more than anything else is my eyes. Also, my voice (speaking, not just singing). I was told recently that there is a sparkle in my voice

I understand how you feel. The first time I was away from my husband was when he was in boot camp, about 2 1/2 months, and then more recently in Korea for a year. Neither time was fun, but I got through them, and you will too. Good luck in the meantime.
Cat, the other,other white meat!. I take it SPC Nbs has shared his nicknames for our cats? If not, he decided before going to Korea that all 3 of our cats should have nicknames, in Korean. So he gave them all nicknames, in Korean, and they were all food. Our 14 pounder he started calling Bul Go Gi!!

These things are most definately genetic. I don't think we always realize it when we are younger. Back then my dad and my mom were just weird. Now I've gotten older and realized that my dad's sense of humor and my husband's are almost exactly alike, as are mine and my mom's. Now that's scary!!! Love the post!
Not sure which I would classify it as, but the first time I heard this song was on the Dr. Demento radio show a couple of weeks ago. Dr. Demento showcases a lot of parody, some satire, but I believe mostly parody. Regardless, thank you for sharing this site--absolutely hilarious!
Thank you both for your comments. Yes I have considered writing a book, but I haven't done much recently. I have written numerous short stories and had a couple of poems published a few years back. If there is really interest, I would love to continue sharing stories and poems. What do you think?
