Really though a question like this is best researched over at Virtual Plastic: http://www.virtualplastic.net/ 2) I have never heard of Sysmetrix using a great deal of memory, but like anything it is most likely theme dependent. Use a heavy theme and it will drag more than a lighter one will. As previously mentioned 98 / ME are terrible at handling memory

OK... I am using WB v3.50a and the notification area icon shows 3.4 as well. However it's not causing any harm other than being annoying. I'm sure it will be fixed for the next major release... Bill

Winstyles is an application that applies skins for other programs. In order for it to apply a Windowblinds skin you need to have Windowblinds installed. Same with any of the other programs it works with. The beauty is that you can apply numerous skins for different programs with the click of one button. Icon Packager does not need to keep running in order for it to work. You run Icon Packager and make the changes you prefer, save and exit the program. Windows retains the settings.

The only problem I see with a module concept is that Windows only allows a single global coloring. You can already use a seperate task bar and start menu from one skin and say a non-xp skin for window frames, but the problem is if the colors don't match or the fonts are different it will look awful. I hope MS will consider this for the future, but we know how that goes... /me goes looking for Mr. Banfield!

Good question Eazy... When in doubt, always just open that sucker up! You can open a xxx.ip with a Zip program. Unzip it and inside you will find a whole bunch of icons and a xxx.iptheme file, and maybe a xxx.txt file. Now open the xxx.iptheme with a text editor like notepad. Inside you will see how it works. Basically each supprted icon IP can handle automatically has a name, i.e My Computer. Now that folder is associated with a xxx.ico that you saw when you unzipped the xxx.ip file in

Add-ons are usually icons that are not supported by IconPackager. IP only changes system icons, or the most common icons... Add-ons need to be changed manually which can be a huge job depending on how many you have!

My opinion would be to add the functionality to WindowBlinds. A seperate app I fear would end up being another dead horse just like WebBlinds. Every version of WB I can remember has added some form of extra skinning functionality. However authors can use as little or as much of it as they wish. Same with users, funcitonality can be controlled from within the configuration menus. Keep in mind as well that as a seperate app it would probably only be available to OD users. I didn't register here until they took the skins library off the Stardock site. WC was way too slow then, but you could breeze through the library on Stardock in seconds... Ahh the good old days...

How about having the FAQ as a new Library entry. That way it could easily uploaded or updated under the current site scheme. Searching would also be possible with the already built in search function, ordering, and categories. Seems to me it would be very easy to set up on the site this way... What do you think T-Man....?

Merc, Some skins scream for a custom color option, Copper Deck 2 comes to mind. Others have it and it really does not do justice to the skin or the work that went into it. Why it works so well for some skins and not others is hard to say, I guess it is all in how it was built. My suggestion would to be to build a custom version for yourself and try it out. If it works and you are happy with it, great, add it in as a subskin. If not put it up the way it is, because the screen shot looks
