Hell Dragon, How did you make the link work with the commas in it. I have never been able to figure that out....
kith
You need the Windowblinds program to run them: http://www.windowblinds.net/
Gamespot put up a nice interview with Brad today. A very nice read on the new Galactic Civ game. Of course there were shameless plugs for Wincustomize and Obeject Desktop but he has a right to be proud of them as well! Take a look for yourself and good work Brad... The link has comma's so I'm not sure if it will work, just copy and paste if it looks goofy. http://gamespot.com/gamespot/stories/previews/0,10869,2847556,00.html
Loading in a few seconds here...
I thought it was a dog flap.... Cats stay inside! Super news is that the rc2 that was posted today works AWESOME. Whatever was changed did the trick the unload problem is gone and I can see the menu's now.
Shrimp Primeveira
I didn't want to be the first person to post something like this but since Feline opened the door... I 'm having the same problem with the menu's being blank. Also unloading WB seems to be a problem. I have to "end task" to to prevent a freeze up. I'm using 98. Anyone else?
Laurence - They all seem to load now. And it looks mighty nice!
I wouldn't bother looking for it, this is better: http://www.windowblinds.net/
I get a pop-up on every page I laod at this site now: "Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result the page may not display correctly." Then I click OK While this is annoying I guess it is my own fault for having "*.targetnet.com" in my restricted sites.... But at least I don't get a banner, just a magenta rectangle at the top! I guess
When I'm not sure what rating a skin deserves I head to this page http://www.pax.f2s.com/ratings/rating.html
I like the smartbutton. Logika supports them and I have mine set as a URL to come to this message board. Very cool indeed....
The best place is through the OD Component Manager. Get the whole package here: https://www.stardock.com/products/odnt/
You up yet...
Frogboy, Don't give up on the weekend, the Superbowl is this weekend, a lot can happen before Monday. It's like a free work zone, anything that gets done is a bonus....
Tretog, I just tried it and it works. If you haven't already I would suggeest clicking on the "logon/account" link on the page. It seems the cookies are different for WC and GUI O, so you will actually have to logon at least once.
How about the good people over at Lockergnome: http://www.lockergnome.com
It seems Jeff has replied to a few posts today on this subject. Should be plenty in the newsgroups by this weekend.
Feline - I don't know if I would call it a problem yet but there is definitely a difference between .95 and the "a" version. It seems as if the start menu was taller and the recently used list worked properly in the .95 build. The "a" version seems to have reverted back to the .6?/.7? builds with the shorter look and the MS Paint and explorer shortcuts. Hopefully OB will recognize the frquently used programs and update itself, time will tell. I will look into further and check out the newsgroup.
Well this is a very interesting thread indeed, pictures of everyone and the debut of the Frog icon... Very cool. Here's a picture of me from my father in-law's website. Keep in mind I had to have a few drinks to make it through xmas day with the in-laws. http://pages.prodigy.net/larry_huber/picjenkatiebill.html
Who understands Cricket, for the life of me I can't figure that sport out...
XRAYSPEX Have you been to the newsgroup: stardock.od.windows.objectbar
"Fine", It's outstanding, a massive improvement to the MS taskbar. With the finishing touches that appeared in the .9 versions it is definitely ready for primetime. I want all my programs to do more but but alas I figure it will come with time...
John, First create a folder to put your Windowblinds downloads in, maybe in My Documents. Now right click the download link and choose "save as". Save the file in your new folder. Now go to your display properties, select the "skin" tab and click the "add" button. Now find your folder and the downloaded file and double click it. The skin should now appear in your personal library.
Martin, Are you sure the skin didn't actually update in your WB library and retain the same name 'Granite'. You can rename the .wba but it won't actually update the skin name, to do that you would have to use Skinstudio or open the .uis and manually change the name. If you want to make sure you have the newest version of Granite: Delete the skin from your library using display properties. Open Windows explorer and make sure the Granite folder is gone from your
