It's funny because IslandDog was chatting about that to me and I misspelled two words in my reply. Mostly it's technology though. It fixes a lot of my mistakes automatically.
Interesting. When Fences is running correctly, the top item when you right-click the desktop should be either "Enable Fences" or "Configure Fences" and you have neither. Please contact support at https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/default_import/Tickets/Submit
Ah. Thank you! What you describe in your video is a windows function, not a Fences one. Right click on empty desktop Select View Uncheck "Auto arrange icons"

I have three events on my calendar that have lasted through many event purges; my wife's birthday, our anniversary, and joining this place. It is still the most friendly group of internet denizens around. Thanks!~
Sadly I do not believe that the two systems can or will coexist like you describe.
You want to select license key as neither DeskScapes nor Fences is actually available through Steam.
If it is only some applications that are crashing, make sure to tell support which ones they are (and letting them know which one do work might be useful too). Please include the path to the EXEs for the crashtastic links.
Could you perhaps create and post a video somewhere and link it here so we can see what you are trying to do?
That is not an option with Fences at this time.
Right click on an empty part of the desktop Select View Uncheck "Lock Fences"

I'll make sure Neil sees this.
If you are using Start10 you can see your Fences in the "All Programs" section. Also, ObjectDock does what you describe. Have you tried that?
If you have not contacted support, you probably should. https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/default_import/Tickets/Submit
I am unable to reproduce what you describe using Fences 3.03 You should probably contact support so we can collect some data: https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/default_import/Tickets/Submit
