Holy shit there are a lot of old and paranoid people around here. I guess I shouldn't poke them so much. [e digicons]:|[/e] If you don't want issues with BGP to affect you, stop using the internet. Completely.

If teh phone company has DSL for us by then I'm in. Not much point trying to play shooters over EVDO.
Definately a fantastic game. I should play it again sometime.
Means it is a dead-dog, boring game for me. Looks like I was correct in not getting it for me, and feels typical of the sims series.
It probably is a boring game for you, but it isn't typical of the Sims series. Major difference 1 is if a char isn't on a quest, you don't control them. Your wife and kids go off to do whatever they feel like doing. Much less stupid micromanagement.</

(Or the people there, of course.)
Just remember Ben Franklin - "They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." Well, I believe Digital Anvil went over budget with Freelancer and it was the last PC title they got into before they went down. I've talked to the guy who did the bar music about it but it appears to no longer be in my email :/
what does the rebalance mod do? does it fix the annoying way that all the factions have the same three ships, only slightly more powerful all round than the previous faction?
Don't think it does much to the enemy ships but it adds tons of player ships, adds recharging shields for the enemies, and a whole bunch of stuff I don't remember. It was pretty impressive.
I have several times said I'm surprised Bush never got assassinated. Even while he was president. I have yet to get a visit from anyone. Though I'm probably on a watch list somewhere wasting government time and moneys. Heh.
I think Brad said something like that before I did just so I'm not trying to take credit for shiz that ain't mine.
The lighting and animations look amazing. Most everything else, the story, the action, the shooting....looks pretty standard. Had to laugh when the bloodsplatter on your screen came from a homie, and getting shot produced no BLOOD SCREEN, SO REAL effect.
Isn't it bloody scream? Hahahah that game was so pointless...and entertaining.
See!!! lol J/K Savy
Hey I'm not disagreeing with you, but I am 32 so I'm not a newbie gamer here. I just started with FPSes way too young *grin* My UDIC friends liked Ultima6/7, I liked Ultima Underworlds. Still don't get as into the Fallout games as others seem to. 3 was good, New Vegas...don't really care about. I like what they tried to do but the setting and th
I picked it up but I won't have it downloaded til sometime tomorrow morning/afternoon most likely. I hate that EA is still giving Steam the shaft though. EAs downloader has earned my wrath again (it still eats CPU cycles when you aren't using it for anything) and Impulse...I obviously like the company but the client still feels unfinished in some respects. I think I'll hook up Kinect while I wait and get some exercise. :p
What I don't get is why we're still calling it 'browser wars' when there hasn't been a real war since IE and Netscape. Everything's peachy. Except for Opera, who couldn't get users if someone donated 30 billion dollars to them. People will use what they feel like using. That's pretty much all there is to say.
I still haven't played Baldur's Gate. Or any Fallout before 3. I don't feel any terrible loss.
Is the Rebalance mod good now? I kinda gave up on it halfway through its development cause it made everything so hard, but I liked the new features. Freelancer may always be among my top ten games of all time. We shall see.
I played 1.1 for a good while, and played the 1.2 RCs for a few hours the last few days It's easily worth more than $20. I wouldn't say it's my favorite thing to be doing, but for those who like some variety it's good to have.
And now I'm waiting for some headphones so I can do late nights without worrying about the noise :p Although I suppose I should be sleeping.
The more I have been playing it, the more I have really, really been liking it. After the jarring lack of common RPG options has finally worn off, the characters and story are really, really good in my opinion. Still don't like a lot of changes and still consider the origional better, but this game does have a unique and interesting story.
I'm with you. At first even though I liked the game it wasn't really
That isn't actually the end of Fable 3 though. That's like the middle. That game was wack though and I'm done with Molyneux.
What browser were you using, soulspark?
I'd imagine it had more to do with the OEM software than the site/browser. ASUS software is better than some, but I still got rid of it.
If IE9 was as much of an improvement over older vers as Win7 is over any other OS created by MS then it would be kicking some serious arse.
For IE it pretty much is. Unlike Win7, it has established competition that already performs great, and functionally is pretty much the same (at least until HTML5 animated stuff comes out, where the other browsers will need further enhancements from what I've seen.)
Lets all get together and write Microstuff a dear 'Who Cares' letter stipulating our dislike of their Internet Explorer #9 and its many 'idiot-syncrasies'. Not that it will matter but it might make some people feel good.
Sure...sure...wouldn't that require we all disliked IE9 as much as you do though. Just a thought.
I'm a preacher now. Who can magically transform into someone else! Awesome. Anyway...letting it go. http://www.zdnet.com/blog/bott/privacy-protection-and-ie9-who-can-you-trust/3014 An article about the Tracking Protection Lists available in IE9 for those of you who like it. Short version: one of these things is crap.
Hmm....I want to disagree with that as I'm not sure it's accurate, and yet I can't. [e digicons]-_-[/e] I wonder if Portal 2 will be any different. I'm not willing to buy it until I actually know.
