Might as well leave that partition for the inevitable beta, even if I'll need to format it. There are things I liked and things I didn't, but I considere

Just wanted to pop in and mention...my first Revo the firmware wouldn't update so I RMAed it, the second one will die on me after extended writes...so I'm RMAing it again... Don't think I'll be buying OCZ again, this is lame.

The mainstream definition of RPG has shifted, and that's what he's railing about. I have friends who've mentioned this. http://www.shadowdawngenesis.com/devblog/?p=603 for one example. Ironically, with regards to Rainbow Six being mentioned - Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter is exactly like that. R6: Vegas 2 is a little more casual but you still can't take much in the way of hits. &nb

I still like Elemental, despite the weak launch I played quite a few hours. (Over 20 iirc) Having seen people whine about it since launch despite it continually improving, I'm not surprised they get told to piss off occasionally. If you're not going to be happy with something no matter how much work is put into it, there's not much point hanging around to make everyone else miserable.

I don't mind if they don't make a 64 bit client considering I'd honestly rather they spent their resources elsewhere, but it'd be nice if it at least used the LargeAddressAware compiler flag so 64 bit OSes could use more mem for the app. Whatever happens, I'm getting it free so I'm not complaining. But hopefully after Fallen Enchantress they'll be looking into futher improvements to everything.

Also important to note that if you fire from behind cover without popping your head out first with one of the arrow keys, then you will fire blindly and it's unlikely you will hit anything.
I know all that, I'm an avid game player :) My friend didn't even know how to hols

Shady things that most people don't care about anyway. Woo. I like the game but damn. Admittedly I have barely upgraded my armor/aim tech at all but the shooting just feels wonky, from the moment I loaded the game up.

The patch just removed the DRM from all the other versions, so now I'd say you should buy it from your preferred store.
The lack of preload on other services was sleazy too. I barely had time to play the game before, hey, look, redownload t
As for Steam... the way they removed SecuROM involved changing a 9GB .pak file, and Steam just wants to redownload the whole thing. None of the other DD providers had a patch that size.
I gather Steam redownloads ANY changed files, no matter what game. I did not know this until this happened, but it's still a huge fuckup on CD Projekts part. (And Valves, you know, not saying it's one party responsible.)

My opinion of DA2 is the first area is boring, the rest was great. My opinion of Witcher 2 is the first area was great, and after that I got bored. And they've screwed the launch so bad on Steam with no preload and having to redownload a 9gb file post patch that I don't even know when I'll be able to play it again. Possibly not til after the LAN party we're having on June 4th...tons of stuff to DL right now.

Unfortunately it seems to be among those "We Don't Want To Talk About It Because People Will Bitch" things, unless I'm misreading something. Ah well, life goes on I suppose.
