Well hey if any of you peoples want to add me just for the hell of it, I'm over here http://social.bioware.com/42693/ Not too concerned whether anyone does or not, of course...but its neat to see other peoples characters (Of course, my char data doesn't seem to be updating at all, so the info looks old.)

Even though I wasn't really expecting anything interesting, I had to notice all the women in the game were wearing the same underwear. *grin* Anyway. I love the game. There was a repeating crash keeping me from progressing with my main character, but i guess I figured out how to stop getting it last night. Yay! I had started a bunch of other characters, but I wanted to go forth with my main.

I didn't mean to imply that all of them have issues. Only that some do, and those device categories have always had the biggest number of complainers from the boards I've checked out in the past. On that note, I haven't seen those complaints wrt Win7, but I haven't really been looking terribly hard either.
So if I'm running a centrino laptop with 2gig ram, and have no new hardware(all manufacturer supplied with the laptop) I shouldn't have issues with 7 not being able to work with my present hardware? That's my biggest reason for not upgrading at this point. I have a chance to install 7 (haven't asked yet if it's an upgrade or a full install) but remembered all the issues xp and vista had with older hardware in the beginning
</
Technically.. But on a list of countries I'd want to live in, it's pretty far down. Back to the point. No matter your territory, there will always be titles not available to you via Impulse. And yet it happily tells you hurry up and buy it, only to change its mind once you go to your cart. Stardock seems to take pride in being consumer friendly. This isn't. Fix it.
Yeah hell man I live in the United States and it ran

There are a few gotchas from when 64 bit was new, like Starforce 3.0 and older Tages protected titles, but nothing really to worry about. If your Vista is 32 bit, then nothing worth mentioning. I certainly wouldn't bother with two copies of 7 though, it's so rare anything has issues anymore in the consumer space.

Vista was alright. It was just too glitchy for me. If OEMs would stop loading machines with crap (Really, HP? over 100000 files just to tell me my machine needs a DVD backup and how to use my webcam? What the hell ever.) Windows wouldn't have the bad name it does. I am not buying another laptop that isn't from store.microsoft.com (ala not preloaded with crapware.)

My only gripe is how often I have to enter my age going to a M rated product page. Like seriously? This is only the 400th time! I really wish it could figure out from my profile that I am in fact over whatever the hell age they require.

Scuse me, I gotta mention I wasn't intending to take over the thread. I just meant to say that if I had bought Tropico 3 and found out about that later (and assuming it is only a conversion attempt for stolen copies,) it would've made me unhappy. Still, as long as it made someone happy, s'all good. I didn't buy Tropico 3, so I'm certainly not terribly upset.

Wow, so the whole five cents it costs them to let me download it translates to a lot more when passed on to the customer! Alright. I'm not buyin it. It might make sense to a company with low sales to be all friendly to the thieves, but in doing so they're doing absolutely nothing for legit customers. The side of the argument I can buy is that you're buying direct from the company, which certainly benefits them more. That's about the only positive I see t
No it isn't. As was mentioned before, the lower price of the download in conjunction with the online serial compared to the boxed version is perfectly okay coz you don't get a box, a disc, and a printed manual and the likes. Okay, if you buy an EA sports product boxed you don't get a printed manual either, but that's just on a side note.
I buy lots of games digitally and never get a box, a disc, or a
lol, well, if you look at it like that then all RPGs with Elves and Dragons and such are rehashes of each other. Dragon Age is the first RPG I've seen in a long time that's made more for mature gamers. Man I miss Imoen.
When I said this to someone earlier I then realized I'd just played The Witcher. Gamings getting awesome again for those of us who don't want a T rating.

IMO it's not about realism anymore but diversity and cost. How many 3d models do you see in the average game? How much do they cost to make? How long til they don't all look like the same person with the race changed? Why is that tree the same as the three million others in the game? It's fine to talk about photorealism, but if that was the only thing that mattered games would already look absolutely fantastic. Lack of diversity is the only thing that rea

It's a brilliant way to drive people to piracy too, on the other side of the coin...by reinforcing the notion that the retail price is unreasonable and making people who actually paid said price unhappy.

I'm definately enjoying it. It's corny, but awesome. My only concern is with the lack of CD key...I assume they'll still get us the DLC but I've seen that idea shot down enough times to wonder.

Ehh, probably not. Getting it set up with everything is always time. Time well spent, mind you, but plenty of it anyway. I lost my Dead Space save due to me being stupid. Ironically, I have all my other saves. *smacks self a few times for good measure* It wasn't the only game I'm in the middle of, so no big loss, but meh. Going through the first four chapters over again will be dull.

Excellent. My CD was overly scratched ages ago. Will work with Win7 x64? Triple excellent. Not like I need any more games to waste time with, but hell. This is one of the few classics I never could let go of.
