Oh...didn't mean to offend or anything! I just saw your name floating around and went to your site. I saw this article and wondered why you hadn't written anything lately. I'll be keeping my eyes open for some of your new articles. That's all! You're not missing something. Am I? ll

A few days ago, I put up the rough draft of this curriculum letter. Well, it's finished. It's aimed at a principal to prove I know what I'm doing for literacy instruction. I'm sending it Monday morning. Any last advice (besides proof reading stuff, which I'll be doing tonight) would help alot! Thanks to those who helped me on the first draft! ll

So, I got the go ahead from Suspeckted to post some pics from Halloween that I have of him. The scan came out a little dark, but you can still see him! He's in the Kangeroo suite, folks. Left: Suspeckted gets dirty with SameOld Rat. Caught ya. Right: Nice view of Suspeckted's rear end!

Wow! You do have a lot to be thankful for. When I was younger, I used to play with all my cousins at my grandma's house on Thanksgiving. There are 26 of us. We are all grown up now, but we used to play all kinds of games together, and make a little bit of trouble. I'm thankful that I have a big family. I'm also thankful that I live in this country. There are a lot of good things happening here. I hope you have a good thanksgiving! LL</

Eleven different Indian communities from the Chippewa (Ojibwe) and Sioux (Dakota/Lakota) tribes have roots in Minnesota (1). Yet, they are not taken into consideration by the education system in Minnesota, which helps explain why it is not working effectively for this group of students. Educators need to know and take tribal government, history, language and culture o

Me, too, TW! I don't think you're a yuppie, though. Too down to earth! Thid idea would make for a funny albulm. I can just see the name brand purses in mid-air as MAC makeup flies out and chunks of blush shatter on the sidewalk, marking up the name brand shoes.

I still treasure memories like this from my childhood. The little things. You sound like a good mom. I hope this connection between you and your children last through their lives. ll

Voodoo Granted, I've shot at hunters also, but they were bow hunters and they were trespassing. And I intentionally missed, so don't call me a bad shot. Hehe. That's the attitude! Dirty <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#F

alison & dharma Thanks for the support! NCLB does make things difficult, but I think it's a good thing that we all have to rethink the way we teach reading, writing, listening and speaking. bloom Thanks for the feedback. This is sort of a mock curriculum letter about my literacy program. It would actually be shown to the principal to highlight my plans, and a simpler version would be sent home to the parents. In the parent's versio

I have one to add to your list, Dirty. So here it goes. 11) Pedestrian road hogs. I'm a walker. I get it. Pedestrians have the right of way. Is the road really a place to make this point though? Here's how I imagine the thought process goes. Here comes a 2 ton hunk of metal. Better make sure they know I have the right of way. I'll put on my cool man strut and pretend I don't even know it's coming. Oh man, they're not slowing down

I can't believe this thread turned into an arguement about typos. News Flash: LL makes typos. Doctors have Determined She's Illiterate . For crying out loud. Typos don't make people illiterate, and perfectly corrected blogs don't make people genius. This emphasis on spelling and editing have created a nation of people that think they can't write. Dirty, Kittens, kittens, kittens. What about the cats? You never speak about the cats, especially the elderly ones. What are your plans for the aging population, and the increasing numbers of elderly cats who are homeless? I want answers. Now the United Party of Squirrels, we take care of our elderly. In fact, we take such good care of our elderly that you can't even tell which if us are elderly and which aren't. Our fatalities aren'
