like i said in another thread, Start8 is the ONLY reason i renewed my Technet sub and installed Win8. props to Neil.

isn't it funny how people who have yet to use the os are experts about it already? all that knowledge gathered strictly from others have said...
i really like that Tanger skin, Tom. if i ever install WB again, i'll be sure to get that one. it all hinges on whether or not we can install the skins to a non-boot drive.
This is one gave me goosebumps....the good kind. this man definitely has my respect and admiration. http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=7425136n
their white hot chocolate is pretty good on a cold day
this app is the ONLY reason i renewed my Technet subscription and installed Windows 8. it's a great app, to say the least. i initially installed version 1.01. i then installed 1.02 after seeing that update. suffice to say, i installed 1.03 yesterday. here's the rub: i now have all three versions listed in the "uninstall or change a program" list. i would've thought by installing the upgrades that the older versions would be removed from said list. other than that, it's a fabulous app. neil sh
hmmmmmmm. i may have to try win8 again because of this app. i'll wait until my new ssd arrives, tho.
You a Hoosier, past or present, too, MD?
let's just say i've known kyle since his first year at phs. his dad was one of the best people i've ever known. i miss the man.
Ah, yes. Nice little berg. Where the traitor Kyle Macy played HS ball.
kyle a traitor? no way. if you're talking about his transfer from purdue, blame the players who conspired to keep the ball from him. after he set a big ten record for scoring by a freshman early in the season, he rarely saw the ball. kyle is living in the lexington, ky area these days and doing well. he's still a stand-up
i've had lines of that sort before. it seems i had a faulty amd/ati video card driver. once i removed that set of drivers and installed new ones, the issue with the lines vanished. just sayin' .............
thermaltake fanboi! LOL i'm glad you're happy with your new stuff, starkers. more power to ya, buddy. [e digicons][/e]
can it be installed on a secondary drive?
the V8 is a great cooler, i must admit. if i remember correctly, i suggested it to Jafo before he got his. i was using one at the time. their V6 cooler is pretty stout, also. i've installed it on a few builds. other brands worth looking at for air cooling are Thermalright and Prolimatech (their Megahalems Black model looks and works great!). i've used them in several builds and they are SUPERB. i've used numerous Thermalright products in the
i was thinking something along the lines of a corsair h60, h80, or h100 but it's your rig :)
starkers, i think you're due for a cpu cooling upgrade. (hint, hint)
JcRabbit, you have my respect. But if you want to put temp files, your page file, hibernation files, and other unnecessary files on your SSD RAID array, more power to you. If the people at Corsair recommend not putting those files on my SSD, I'm going to take their advice to heart. To each their own, as the saying goes.
and an SSD will start to noticeably lose its speed once it becomes more than half full so why put temp files and such on it? that's not my opinion, that came from Corsair and OCZ.
i see no option to enable ahci in the bios for that board. unfortunately, biostar has yet to update that board's bios. advice: in the future, stick with asus or gigabyte. some may add msi but their customer service sucks. as-rock supposedly makes nice boards too but i've never used any by them.
what biostar is it?
i'd like to know how to do that with wb too. sadly, the facts i can't put my skins on a platter drive and and dwm is constantly disabled when starting windows have caused me to not use wb any longer.
that hapens to me ALL of the time. it is a DWM issue. i have to re-start DWM and then all is well. between that issue and having to have the app and skins on my SSD, i no longer have WB installed. DWM is not an issue without WB installed. sorry, Neil. it's a great app and i do miss using it but ....
A true legend in American drag racing has passed away. If you followed drag racing anytime from the 60's to today, you're aware of Da Grump. Without the likes of Grump, Sox & Martin, Dick Landy, Dyno Don, Butch Leal, Don Carlton, Bob Glidden, Gapp & Roush, Wally Booth and others, Pro Stock wouldn't be what it is today.
what happened to GR? did he go to the gamers like Koop did? if yes, that's sad for us. btw, i miss Koop. he's a great guy.
that's pretty much what i thought you look like, not exactly but real close. i never expected to see an earring.
