If I remember correctly, that cam came with a few disks of junkware. I will look when I get home, but I think I may have that driver disk packed away somewhere.

Thanks!! I will try it when I get home
I'm going to apologize in advance... But, how do I get the highlight to disappear on the log off/shutdown pane? I could do it in the previous version of skin studio. But in the new one, I just can't seem to adjust the content margins to get rid of it. I just can't figure out what I am missing. Any ideas?
I Recently downloaded the new skin studio. I have been putting together a skin I was already working on. I noticed that in the preview it would show the magic pink, even though it displayed properly when the skin was applied. I discovered that if I changed the image to a png or tga with alpha channel it now displays properly in the preview. I am wondering if I should just convert any images that are using magic pink to png/tgas. Are there any pros/cons to doing this?
I finally downloaded WB6 to give it a try. The only thing I was disappointed in was the shilling of yahoo crapbar by default.
Hello everyone About a year ago, I completed my first skin. Shortly after that, I started a second. I took about an eight month break when it was about 1/4 of the way done. Going back to it now, I just wasn't happy with the direction it was heading. So, I kept a few of the orignal ideas and started over. I really forgot how much work was involve in actually just getting a skin completed <img src="http://images.
I don't have the new version yet. But, from what I have seen it is first rate. I can't wait to try out the color changing features on some of my favorite skins. I do think the review was a bit unfair about the quality of skins though. Skins are completely a preference. I can't think of a category of preference that doesn't have at least five master level quality skins already available. Sometimes people forget (or don't realize) that creating skins really is an art. It's not just gettings all th
Great article. It does make you wonder why microsoft is basically forcing 256x256 size icons or not scaling them properly. I agree that it will probably result in much better icons in the future. I have never made an icon package before. But, I have made individual icons. There is definately more skill involved in larger icons. Maybe because I haven't had alot of experience making icons, but I don't understand the difficulty in making the 256x256 size. I normally use photoshop and
It doesn't really matter what Epics resources are, it's up to them to fulfill thier contractual obligations. It will be interesting to see what Epic was actually required to provide. They obviously had a version of the engine running well enough to win best in show. It seems like they just didn't release that well running version to thier licensees. As it is we have only heard one side of the story. It will be interesting to see how this develops.
Hold the phone! The end is near?! I haven't been on this site since early spring because they were saying the same thing, and I thought it was all over... Now I find out the end didn't even come, but it IS near...AGAIN! OMG! Wait before I run for cover. I know prophecy isn't an exact science but could you be a little more specific? Do you mean like "near" the end of the week, or did you mean month? Year? Decade? No not really <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Tongue.
Same thing happened to me. I sent Jafo a message last week, but haven't received a response. But, it worked when I sent a test to myself.
Just a tiny rant... Why is it that the majority people who know how to make Dreams don't seem to know how to make preview video clips, so we can all see? Come on, I don't want to get Vista already just to check them out
I use both PSP and PS. I am self taught on both, so I probably have alot of deficiencies and am not using either to thier full potential. But, in my experience each program does different things more easily than the other. Examples: The bevel/buttonize/cutout features, and centering images seem to be easier in PSP. While inner/outer glow and glass effects are easier in Photoshop. I started in PSP and it seemed to be easier to learn than PS. I have found as I have gotten better at skinning, I use

Gravy. Every day the rest of your life, gravy.
I would definately say start with xp themes. Xp is still the most common OS. Many people won't be moving to Vista anytime soon for various reasons.
I normally don't like extreme actions like exiling. But, in this case I think it's completely warranted. The poster didn't ask for assistance. Just threw a fit like a two year old, and spouted off with threats. Good riddance.
Sorry, I read the entire thread and wanted to reply to all of it. A submission may not be to my personal preferences, but that doesn't mean it's not good, or that I don't appreciate it's value. Someone else may love it. To me, the difference between a good skin and bad is the polish of the final product. How does it work? How useable is it? How many bugs does it have? Do the actual images need work? Making a skin is extremely time consuming. Not only do you need to have artistic skills for t
How did you determine the port was your problem? Have you verified all firewalls are disabled, including windows firewall? (you can go to safemode with networking to accomplish this). Are you behind a router? If so have you tried putting the router in dmz?
Antivirus = Avast Firewall Software = Sygate Firewall Hardware = Linksys router (wpa, mac filtered, ssid not broadcasting) I always use a software firewall. No antivirus catches everything. Your router won't stop viruses coming from your machine. The software firewall lets you know whats actually trying to access your connection. That way you can spot viruses your antivirus missed, etc.
I have been having the same issue. Thanks! I will try when I get home
Jan 25, 6:16am (was on the site/forums for quite a few hours yesterday )
Ouch Starkers Post next time you have an issue like that. The pc cleanup team works 3 feet from me, I can probably get a fix for you next time
While there is certainly a lot of junk on the internet, the internet isn't your problem. As mentioned above, it is an issue with malware. Unfortunately, about the only thing you can do is clean it up after you get infected I long ago remove all search bars and junk from my browser. Don't forget to remove search from your address bar. It's a search bar too <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles
