/me does the kicking-in-the-open-door stuff I wouldn't accept those terms, but my feet are firmly grasping the soil beneath them (even though my head is in the clouds), so I wouldn't even dream of starting my own skins site.

I think why skinz.org is getting dragged into this and regarded as a community site as opposed to this site as a "corporate" site, is because this site has a heavy StarDock feel. I didn't have a thirty4 feel with skinz.org. Skinz.org was skinz.org, no strings attached (that is, no visible strings). An example of strings attached here is the no-Hoverdesk policy (though that's the only thing I can come up with now). Note that I do not see this as a company site myself. More a skins site (dare I sa
I don't know if such a thing would be fitting and feasible here. DevArt is much more an "art" site than just skins, so therfefore it has more stuff that is t-shirtabilisable (new word).
Five hundred questions! By filling this thing in, you already qualify yourself as nerd.
I prefer reversed contrast (light text, dark background), so I'm on Olive.
I want a multiple parent file system. Or something which highlights relations between the different files, but beyond SQL (though the only SQL I've ever seen is MySQL).
To be honest, I don't really care about it. Seeing I neither use the software, nor download the skins for it, nor look at the sections (only when very bored), none of this applies to me. Anyway, the average Joe Blow Downloader is just as egocentric as I am. he or she just wants downloads. Requiring people to register to be able to use the site would certainly reduce the bandwidth usage in a way. But that would also mean lots of pe
I'm gone for three days and Hippy puts WinCustomize on the Black List?
Hmm, but paxx, aren't we that already?
Sounds good to me. That'll prevent me from reading the same thread over and over again.
Aha, so that's why I'm still an Apprentice here.
The masses are to dumb to walk around unguided. You'd get the XP and other OS crud as the most popular stuff. I'd like to see some quality and originality instead of that. Here's a radical rating system, demote a user who gives a 1 or 10. People who rate extremely show that they know not what they're doing and should not be allowed to rate. And like Hell Dragon asked, how many people can rate anyway?
Hmm, something that looks like Turkish and something that seem slike a poor attempt at humour (shame on you BoXXi!)... What's going on?
Well, I'm not the slowest here then. 6k/s on my cable modem thing (yes, I know they're not supposed to go that slow), but most of the waiting time is pure parsing (damn tables). I have noticed a faster response though.
*cough*froggy is describing a caste system*cough* Anyway, how come I'm not an Avatar yet, this Master Apprentice thing stinks. As if I still have things to learn, @#$%!!
One year old already. How time flies.
Hippy is right, platform games... blegh!! Oh, I wish I could code.
You could consider using .gifs as thumbnails. At low resolutions as this a .gif can look just as good as a .jpg and be smaller.
Listen to Jafo. The only way to do it in WinAmp is by typing in all the coordinates in the region.txt file. Though there is an app out there that can make that file for you (forgot the name ofcourse).
They both look pretty good, but HostRocket took forever to load, which might be an omen...
I think BitStrip only does .bmp, Jumbles is hosting it (if I'm not mistaken).
Jafo is slipping indeed.
If so... /me runs to the phone
Changing all your icons at once is rather impossible (and I'm not going to say it in German, mein Deutsch ist viel zu schreklich für solche Sachen). However you can change a lot of them with programs as IconPackager, E-Icons or IconPhile.
