I think Jobs is really alienating FAR more people than he is attracting with the ads personally. a bit too "better than thou" for my liking. oh and.. I'd never own a Mac. :o) My Dualcore screamer is quite fast enough for anything I might be doing on a mac without having to relearn an OS.

SKS saves modified skins in the windowblinds folder.. as soon as u apply a skin it overwrites the existing skin.. if your going to make major changes i find it best to save the skin under a new name.. it can then be loaded directly from SKS recent files list or from WBconfig. Its also helpful to zip a copy of ur skin for backup periodically. To do this just choose Zip for distribution from the FILE menu. Also.. i find if your having font problems its best to delete all fon

If you are making your own WB then there are lots of images now in WB that can contain transparency, just set the level of opacity in your graphics application, import the translucent \ tranparent image into SKS and make sure you have the transparency and translucenly boxes checked.

Try adjusting your Chunk size and gap settings in Progress Bar > XP bar Horizontal.

Good Job SD.. everything working fine here. Although im not thrilled with the several unwanted skins it installed which i now have to go thru and delete... and no i didnt choose to install additional skins.. it just installed them along with 5.5... rather annoying..especially considering the majority of them arent even per-pixel skins..otherwise.. nice update.

If MS didn't release Extras, I would still get Ultimate. Yes because as you said yourself it includes things you cant live without aside from Extras... I can live without it for a while longer.. personally, Im not sure i would even want a changing, moving wallpaper and being a skinner I'll venture a good % of people will be using stock XP for quite a while. I think it just makes sense to skin for the larger % of users until that changes. <br

you font sleuth you!! You know what I use.. Also to avoid any of these issues use a square type font that has no edges that need antialiased. I know it limits font choices but works perfectly if all u want are uniformly smooth fonts.
