One reason most of my blinds are old.
Would you being old also have something to do with it WOM? [e digicons][/e] I'm truly sorry, but I just couldn't resist, especially since I'm old myself. [e digicons]:sun:[/e]
Okay so how I read it is that as long as I upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 during it's first year of availability it is free. If I choose to upgrade after that I would have to pay. If I am wrong would someone please correct me. Sometime I do try to make things more difficult then they are. If I'm correct that would be hard to pass up.
One thing is for certain. Unless SD is able to provide the ability to customize the natural interface of the OS then you can number the days of skinning. There comes a point where you have to give up the legacy and antiquated start menu that was Win7 and move on. Unless I missed something in the presentation, the new start menu will be a combination of tiles and legacy start menu. Those that have had to rely on a
Windows 10 free for a year for win7 and win 8.1 users. Kinda cool. Edit: Free for a year for win7, free permanently for win 8.1 users. Even cooler.
So what happens after the year for the folks who currently have Windows 7? If you will have to pay at the end of the year why not just buy it when it's released? What would be the advantage?

I'm not seeing the images either RND and I'm using IE 11 as you with no addons. [e digicons]:S[/e]
I went to Stardock/My Account, there were two options, version 8.06.0 or 8.09.0(Beta). I downloaded the beta and rebooted, it shows as loaded. I am running Skype and it did fix the dropdown menu problem. [e digicons][/e]

Since I'm not a skinner my Object Desktop and WinCustomize subscriptions allow me to have access to so many great themes for my desktop. I've enjoyed using the software to make my desktop more personal and wait in anticipation to see what will be coming in 2015. Thanks to Stardock and all the great skinners in the community. Congratulations
Happy Birthday Sed
So I will take it kona that even though you said no extensions or add-ons are installed you did check? If that's the case then it would seem that the only recourse that you can suggest to the owner of the computer is to do a restore, if one is available or in worst case a wipe and clean reinstall of the OS. I went and re-read your posts kona. Are you attempting to repair this computer or do just have the use of it? I understand you don't have the proper
Constant redirects and popups does sound like a browser add-on. I would direct your attention there as previously suggested. I know lots of folks like to use browser add-ons and some can be very helpful others just get added in when you download a new piece of software or probably go to a site, most of use fail to check for them, myself included. Very sad indeed, R. I. P. Donna. It also puts somewhat of a light on the fact the alot of us are getting older without realizing it.
Well three days into my 66th year and unfortunately I'm not seeing much difference from what I saw, felt and experienced during my my 65th year. Seems I'm just a tired old fart that needs to nap alot. Oh well, maybe something will come along that will wake me up from my nap and surprise the crap out of me. Hello Stardock.......anyone listening? [e digicons][/e] [e digicons][/e] [e digicons][/e]
I did Randy and thank you.
Yeah, the link doesn't work if you click on it but if you copy it and put it in the search window above it gets you there. Using IE 11.
Thanks everyone for all the Happy Birthday Wishes, much appreciated. [e digicons]:sun:[/e]
Wow John, you have a life that almost matches mine!
What else can you add Tom? I can also include working in a Bank before going into the AF, being a short order cook at a bowling alley while I was stationed at Shepard AFB, part owner of a sports card/nostaliga/collectibles shop and running the circulation department of a local newspaper. I just did a quick memory dump, it's hard to believe I've been hanging around since Dec 26, 1948. Some other dates, joined the Air Force in Aug of 1968, retired in Aug of 1988, for some odd reason I felt the urge to work for the DoD for another ten years. I have been retired from the AF for 26 years and on Nov of 2013 I started receiving Social Security. I'm sure I'm not the first to say this but I'm getting old. The place's I've
