Not on W2k. I'm running IE6. Oh well. I'd really like to upgrade my computers to WinXP Pro, but I can't justify the cost right now.

/me comes back from the fat store. Nada. Only large. Howabout Stardock shirts for the plus side crowd?
That reminds me, I keep meaning to order a t-shirt. I just hope they come in Extra Fat. /me runs off to the fat skins store...
Werewolf and Mike, IE Scrollbars change with WB on Win2K? I haven't seen this. Or do you mean they change based on a per webpage basis under the control fo the webpage (usually just different colors)?
Nope. You're not missing something. The scrollbars in Ineternet Explorer are not really standard scrollbars like they are in notepad or other apps. They are custom window items that IE displays to mimic scrollbars. Unfortunately WindowBlinds has no way of accessing them and therefore cannot skin them.
Well I can understand where you're coming from. Before there was less "stuff" to download. Now, there's DesktopX, ObjectBar, WinStyles among others. As for your theory about the original poster, it always seems these type of things (whether it be web boards, usenet postings) come about from some guy popping out of nowhere, issuing some vague, incoherent, rude proclamation, then goes running back to the hills, never to be seen or heard from again. <A HREF="https://www.wincustomiz
I installed over it. Seems okay to me.
I dunno. 100 meg seems reasonable. I've been around here since nearly day 1 and have sucked down 220 meg and I download like a fiend, including multiple downloads of the same items And like Bill I bought some CDs, subscribed to OD for 2+ years and so on... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIG
Hey, glad we could help a fellow skin junkie
AKA the artist formally known as JAFO2, I imagine. http://www.neowin.net/bboard/showthread.php?s=80eb8e37e91a02bc739b0c4068cec804&threadid=34025
You can see some increase just by looking at the new folks getting their feet wet on the wincustomize message board asking basic skinning-related questions. IMHO, that's a pretty good thing.
But Fuzzy, don't you realize you're a victim of "The Man" holding you down? Unshackle those bonds! "The Man" is holding out on your rightful share of bandwidth and storage!!!!! Protest by removing your skins and upload them to some God Forsakin' GeoCities site where they'll get maximum exposure among the 8 billion pop up ads and X10 Camera pop under ads. Then when they shutdown your website for exc
Wow. That was some pretty semi-incoherent ramblings on my part. Please ignore.
Yeah, but isn't Russ's main career as an overall graphics designer/consultant rather than just a skinner. Then again, he's got HoverDesk with Thaibuad. I don't mean any insult when I say "just a skinner". I mean to say its a particular area within in the overall graphic arts fields.
Oh also forgot Alexandrie and Treetog at Pixtudio. http://www.pixtudio.com They also do commercial skinning work.
Well, there's Jeff and the Skins Factory. I don't know if he's full time or not. Of course its more than Jeff. There are other artists that are part of the skins factory. Check 'em out at: http://www.theskinsfactory.com
Why is it that it enivitably comes down to "you greedy bastards"? Where do you think the money comes from to host such a site? This then always leads to "Well, I've set up servers before and offer free unlimited free access to such and such". But there's a large difference in cost between a typical mom and pop ftp/web server site and one that gets so many hits and downlaods as Wincutomize and other similar large sites. This exacorbated by the fact that Wincustomize is used
Well, when you start it up, IIRC its default configuration is to have a button in the lower left corner of the screen. If you click it, it launches a menu that's similar to the Windows Start Menu. Additonlly, you can turn off NextSTART's task managment and use the standard Windows taskbar and just use NextSTART for menus. You can edit the menu, or create more menus. To bring up the configuration, press Ctrl F12. You can define hotspots, menus, and load other themes. The configu
Yo! W3rd! Shout out to my peeps!
A while back, wans't there some software that did animated backgrounds? Pimples or Dimples, Drimples, or some such name?
Wow, that's one smooshed Teddy Bear! (It looked better in the Message box)

Hmm. I need to refresh the webpage more often...Oh well, 2 answers for the price of 1.
NextStart does not skin the Windows Start menu. NextStart is a skinnable menuing application that provides the similar functionality of the start menu. It's a desktop enchancement that you can use in place of the the Windows Start menu. You can define various popup menus within NextStart and have them display by various actions, such as clicking an area of your desktop, clicking a button, bumping the mouse against the sreen edge. You can find more about nextstart at the WinStep
