Hmmm. They both look really nice. Here are the things that caught my attention while looking at the links: 1. How easy is getting one repaired vs. the other. For instance, I think you don't think Sony has any direct support and you'll have to find an authorized dealer to service it. I could be wrong about that though. I don't know about Toshiba. 2. Sony has a larger screen, but as a result is probably heavier. Also double check the maximum screen resolution. I didn't see what t

The messageboard list automatically refreshes itself by periodically (every few seconds or minutes?) going out to the website and checking for updates. BTW, I and other people have been noticing some weird problems with the list in which some threads that are really old, somehow bubble up toward the top of the list. I think Brian said he's aware of this and is fixing it.

If you want to install skins, you don't need to create a zip file. First step is you need WindowBlinds (assuming you don't have it already): http://www.windowblinds.net Once you've downloaded and installed it, you can change skins by going to your Windows Display Properties dialog and select the Skins tab. That's tough. Usually either a break doing something else to clear the mind (say play a quick online game of UT). Or listen to music through headphones when I work. It blocks out everything else and helps me focus. Usually load music does the trick and creates a virtual wall. Additionally if you need to get motivated for a project howabout beaking it down into smaller, descrete tasks and writing them out? Then tackle the first task. Well, I'm not a skinner, I'm just a typical user, so take what I say with a grain of salt. I never really liked rating skins, especially when it's anonymous. I've never rated a skin nor will I ever do so (well I might have to counterbalance some moron's blatant meanness of rating a 1 to a perfectly good skin. Ahh. gotcha. Actually I think that dx object just downloads the XML file and performs an XSL translation on it to convert it to HTML and display it as a web page on the dx desktop using the IE web control. If you open the the object with winzip you tell it to use a different XSL file, then take/download the one referenced and muck with it to change the colors and so forth. I did this a while back so that it matched my desktop color scheme, but have long since lost the object.
