Its pretty nice. I just wish the tab browser was more functional like NetCaptor is. For instance, when I key in a URL directly I don't want the page to be displayed in the current tab, I want it in a new tab. I couldn't find a way to do that in Mozilla unless I overlooked it.

Well, I just saw Spider-Man. It was really good. Not perfect but still great fun (except for the two screaming babies in the theater GRRR...) Its the most faithful movie adaption of a superhero comic I've seen.

Oh wow! that link to ARK II brought back some cheesy memories! I think I liked that when I was a kid (actually I liked everthing when I was a kid). Anyone remember Quark? It was a short-lived comedy in the 70's starring Richard Benjamin as an intersteller garbage man. I remember he had two twin women with him (maybe the original double-mint twins?).

In the commic books, Spider-Man initially was a high school student. As for his bright red and blue costume. it initially was red and black. The blue was used to imply lighting and form to the costume. Eventually though the artists used more and more blue until it became the costume we're all familiar with.

Yep I had a Galatica model when I was a kid. Probably worth more still boxed. I can't believe that guy built a 6 foot Galatica model though. Cost him $5000 dollars and year to design and build. Now that's dedication (or insanity).

Yep I can't hardly wait! I debating only working part of the day tomorrow and seeing Spider-Man in the early afternoon. As for advantage, I dunno, I imagine Star Wars will be a larger draw overall, but I don't think one movie excludes the other, rather they compliment each other. They both appeal to the same crowd who'll shell out money to see both. Makes for a great month. Heck, I saw LOTR:FOTR 4 times and I'll probably see each of these multiple times as well.

I loved my little metal green Micronaut guy! I think I still have his plastic flying backpack around somewhere. IIRC, Micronauts were a failure. They were supposed to be the next big thing but never were, though I think this is in regards to some failed media tie-in (movies,cartoons, or what-not).

Yeah Jafo, good list, but jcg is partially right. Forbidden Planet is a classic, but Silent Running was good A relatively new movie that I thought was outstanding and overlooked is Dark City. Very kafka-esque and has themes vaguely similar to The Matrix (though more thoughtful where the Matrix was action-oriented). Well I'd like to go semi-offtopic and ask you LiteSteppers a couple of questions since I've always been tempted to try it (actually I tried it once a few years ago and ended up screaming and running for the hills. I normally use Winstep(NextStart and WorkShelf) for two reasons: I can easily switch between themes (i.e. the theme is independent of the configuration) and I like Winstep's abilities to bump the screen edges to display NextStart menus and workshelf since I normally run my app

Argh. I hit submit too soon. To address this, you can either kill the running trayserver.exe task, or just rename it so something else to prevent it from being automaticlally started. If you decide to no longer use Hoverdesks taskbar and systray and want to use DesktopX's, rename the executable back to trayserver.exe.

You can use Hoverdesk and Winstep with DesktopX and WindowBlinds. (Heck, for that matter you can run Hoverdesk and Winstep at the same time too). There's only one small caveat regarding running Hoverdesk and DesktopX. That is, DesktopX runs a program in the background call trayserver.exe (ObjectBar does this as well). If this program is running, it interferes with Hoverdesk's taskbar and systtray management (assuming you want to use Hoverdesk's taskbar and systray).

I'm running WindowBlinds AND WinStep on a Win2000 dekstop (GForce) and I've never had it lock up like you describe. The only problem I've had is with a particular app (NetCaptor) that does not respond properly to repaint commands when I switch skins. NetCaptor will often peg the CPU. It slows the whole computer to a crawl until it finishes repainting. But again, this is not WindowBlinds' problem. As for WinStep, I've not had any problems with that either. I do have pro

I use Netcaptor http://www.netcaptor.com (a brower application that basically wraps around the IE control and provides tabbed browers and automatic popup closing). It works pretty well. I think Opera and Mozilla may have something similar.
