I reall wish Convergence had the option to save a theme file as references to skins rather than always having to contain the skins. This way I could have theme files that are similar (say one theme that is identital to another theme except that it may have a different WB skins) without worrying about the bloat. You would not also have to worry about getting permissions from the artistis since the skins aren't actually included. It would also be cool for people like me

No you don't interact with it through the start button. It places interactive objects on your desktop. These can be smart icons that are antimated objects, panels, and so on, that perform some sort of functionality. You can build your own StartMenu or TaskBar or SysTray. Sort of like a wharf in LiteStep. Desktop objects can be grouped together so that a parent object can control children objects. Paxx, I haven't tried that combo yet. Do hotspots still work by clicking on the desktop or does DesktopX capture the mouse clicks? That is, do the two apps get in each other's way. Just curious. Actually I don't think I'd have a problem anyways since I use bump edges for my NS hotspots.

The WindowBlinds skin is Paxx's. You can find it here: http://scripts.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=1&skinID=1985 You'll need WindowBlinds to use the skin: http://windowblinds.net As for DesktopX, if you have it installed and running, you can doubleclick the theme you downloaded. Or you can doubleclick the DesktopX icon in your systray. That'll display the DesktopX configuration dialog box. From there you can load the the DesktopX theme.

Fav Icon question in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

Anybody know where the fav icons are physically stored on the computer (like the Wincustomize, DeviantArt, and Lots of Skins icons)? They show up in my favorites menu, but I can't find them. I know they're stored on my computer (W2K) somewhere. I want to copy them so I can use them as hotspot buttons for NS.

I just read it. One thing in the white paper that I liked and hadn't given much thought to were apps that are not theme aware results in an inconsistent GUI in XP. Even if people are not big into themes it seems to me that WB3 will be compelling to some from the sake of consistency by "making up" for the "old" apps that aren't theme aware. I imagine there are people out there that think XP alone will magically transform all applications into XP-themed apps. Or did I mi
