I don't see an update for the following: From the June 14th round up: Advanced lighting/Antialiasing issues ( 3 ) https://forums.elementalgame.com/383982 What has changed as of version .803: now any zoom level below the cloth map level shows the all white map, even with all AA options (and all other graphics options) turned off.

Yes. The screen is solid white when not in cloth map mode, well the map section, anyway.

I also noticed that there seemed to be VERY few "beach" tiles.

Same here. It is not the card, it only happens in Elemental.
Forums go Boom! the sequel: This time it's personal.

Similar here except I can only view the cloth map. Have you tried zooming out to see the cloth map? In all versions prior to .803 turning AA off would allow viewing the graphical map. Last time I think that completely removing and installing Elemental was necessary. I am about to try that now. EDIT: Re-install did not help, running in windowed mode did not help, disabling all options in video settings did not help. I guess I will h
If we are only able to access one map in Beta 2-A shouldn't the options for land mass size, etc be grayed out?
My bad. I assumed it got buried and never seen. Thanks. Not only was I able to build a harbor in a land-locked town, I was also able to build a frigate! Fun! :) Neat bug!
[quote who="Viaschivan" reply="21" id="2651041"] quote quoting="post" As far as city building goes, I find it tedious to build all these numerous food producing things and housing. Having to actually place them on the map is just overkill and serves no purpose that I can see. /quote I do not agree here. Building you cities allows for instance to block areas which enemies can not ignore (coast or valleys). That makes the game much
I have a city that is adjacent to a "beach tile" and I have all the required resources, so why is harbor grayed out? I placed the city on the tile closest to the "beach tile", is it too close? Edit: I was able to build a harbor in a city that was nowhere near the water, much less on a beach tile. I guess it is a beta after all.
This is a known issue and has been around since at least the first beta 1Z. There are several video and audio options that cause issues.

I'm stuck at 0 of 100. Mana is based on essence, mana will regenerate only if you still have essence, spend all your essence and you're out of luck (until you level up and buy more of it). If you do have essence, keep in mind that mana can take a w
I agree completely. Good idea.

I'll try posting this again. Deleting old save games seemed to have cleared this particular issue.
[quote who="Frogboy" reply="28" id="2589017"] Quoting Denryu, reply 25So my guess is that since we are at 1Z (kind of implies the end of beta 1) that there will be no major gameplay changes to Beta 1 and all or almost all updates will be to get stability to the point that everyone (I mean 70%+ of everyone) can support moving to Beta 2. This is my guess, any comments on it's accuracy or lack thereof? The remainder of Beta 1 will be about stability. Making game mechanic changes

I think the days of hot seat gaming are over due to the ubiquity of personal LANs, portable PCs and houses with multiple PCs. I want to say that I saw a topic concerning LAN support. Edit: An argument could be made that PBEM is obsolete as well, but there is the issue of being available simultaneously. Also, how big is the market for PBEM? (That is not a rhetorical question.)
How about an epub version for us Stanza users? Let's not let the Kindle get the only electronic version.
