Will there be warships in the release version and will they be customizable like regular units? I know that future expansions will be more sea oriented, but I am wondering about the state of ships/naval war/fishing in the day zero release. Thanks

This may have been mentioned already. Roads would be created automatically once one of them hits a certain level and would then improve as the two end-point cities improved. At a city of level 2 you get a basic path or track, if you have one city of level 3 and the other of level 2, it would improve until you have both cities at level 5 and get the best road possible.
That would be really nice. I didn't know about the tab key function for this.
I think there is some confusion here about which achievements are being referenced by the OP. TBS, Civ type achievements vs. online gaming personal profile achievements. And for the record, the achievements I have seen to date in Elemental aren't all that great.
The game really needs dungeons vs. killing the repeated spawning of creatures. Some times the creatures re-spawn all around your party or even in the same hex.
How about combining the two? First you clear out the area surrounding a new city. Later, as you see more random monster spawns, you investigate the city's environs and you discov
Ah, yes, that too. Apologies.
No big deal, but you are correct about the unit placement for the tactical battles.
I didn't scrutinize the whole thread, but I like the idea of armor sets you quest for. I would also add that there should be a bonus, either to defense or a special ability, for getting the complete set. I, too, am not sure that removing goodie huts is a great idea because of the need for initial cash influx.
Actu
No, the issue is that the order in which the party is placed on the strategic map determines their initial placement on the tactical map (like in HOMM), but its a PITA to manaully change the strategic map party ordering (unlike in HOMM).
Actually, yes, at least for auto-complete battles , the unit that is listed at the bottom of the unit list is always hit first.
Is there a way to rearrange the order of a stack short of manually splitting it apart and rejoining? I am constantly having heroes killed because they are the farthest right in the stack which translates to the last on the scroll list in the battle results. And the lowest on the list is always killed first.
When a unit is selected and the map is clicked on to scroll, the mouse often gets stuck on that location and you cannot scroll the screen any more.
Same here. Not always, but pretty regularly. Reported here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/389824
More graphics issues. EDIT: I got a screen cap of the missing labels. See below: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9157171/debug.err White screen in tactical combat: Zoom issue <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9157171/zoom_err.jpg" alt="zoom error" width
I am trying to report a couple of issues and I can't take screenshots within the game. Has this option been removed? I will try running in windowed mode to get the images, but I was curious about this option.

I was in the Beta and I don't think they are missing much. Sure the graphics are updated, but the basic mechanics are the same and nothing new was added.
Has a final determination been made on this?
1. other then water (the sea) keeping the players apart is it of any use??? One of the planned expansions is going to deal heavily with the water, so you can expect a more "stuff" there. For now, it's just geographical.
Along the same lines, where is the fishing? Since a large aspect of growth is tied to food production, it would be nice to have another way to make otherwise useless areas viable.<
One issue that I have is that I have to go to the cloth map to find treasure tiles quickly. If there were a way to identify them as quickly at the higher zoom levels that would be great.
After installing version .92 all of the graphics issues I have had to date seem to be resolved: the main map white below cloth map zoom level the white tactical battle map the portrait graphics issues. Thanks Devs!!!
I have to admit that I was getting really discouraged about my ability to even play this game when .804 came along and I couldn't even launch the game. Then .90 came out and I could play again without disabling my sound card, I found that one out around .806. I am officially extremely excited about this project again. There are still some graphics issues to resolve, but I have every confidence that the good people at Stardock can do it!!!
That is a relief. Thanks!!!
