Does anyone else have anything to add to this post? I am dieing to know (well maybe not dieing) what other skinners and users of skins and just any person who just hangs around he message board what they think of the subjet. I also posted a news arcticle somewhat related to this about websites and earning power. yes actually that might be true. (the crappy systems that is) Don't let gigabyte of ram and memory fool you. There can be problems with other programs using or violating some part of the system and you do not know it until you install another program and BOOM, down goos your system. I agree with some of what your saying bakerstreet. I personally think that not only will a person not pay for something that they can get free somewhere else, some people are inclined to not pay at all if it cost to much or not worth buying even though they can't get it anywhere else. I haven't had any problems with Winamp 3 yet. The skin reloads and everything. The playlist doesn't stay though... I was pretty surprised at the ability so skin it (from reading that is). I don't know of the bugs for it.. then again I haven't tried to skin it either. The only reason why it is not on my computer now is because I gt tired of uploading a Winamp2 skin and it going directly to the WinAmp 3 folder. I guess I am just not really ready for Winamp3, I love 2 too much. But there a

Petrol Designs too (Austin Powers for WinAMP2), and I think SkinWorkz (spell??) Harvard has a skinning site for Windows Media Player. When I was reading a new story here or some thread there ws a mentioning of something called skin channels... something lke that where businesses would have there own "station" for there designs and promotions. Not sure how that would work but I see it having more value than I did when I first read it.

and I ment as far a manipulation is concerned, more than what is origanilly there. I am not sure if that is right or not depending on what is being manimpulated (wallpaper, image, or a image everyone an there mother saw or a skin of witch would be very hard to just change a little bit do to the fact that it is more of a detailed work. any thoughts? I personally think after spending time here on WC and DA al well as DeskMod, it is best to do your own work or get permission

For Macinosh they do. You can have a separate portable flat screen for those presentation on the bus/train/plane/SUV/Limo What I was thinking was that the laptp would come with an attachable screen to expand it (one for the top and 2 for the sides to make a bigger screen) Those peices could be stored easly in a bad because of thier size. hmmmm... I like some of them. i see bakerstreet's point thoug that there is a sence of Bryce making it look real or better. I think th ease that Bryce give some people tands to give Bryce artwork a bad name. Allot of it looks to computer-made as oppossed to using the computer to make something. But I think the point he is missing that jark is saying is that there are only 5 people policing the site. if he is seeing these images so easily, it does not mean that someone else will. I have not read this whole thread yet but one thing I have to say is while talking about site X on site Y might be diffecult, I believe that Mark Smitka is making a point for disussion. So since he is talking a intellegent approach to the thought it would be more like just asking people opininion of the site. Aslo keep in mind that he did post something like this there and this site is FAR smaller than DeviantART. Also keep in ming who hangs here on the messagboard (lack of cursing, very civil)
