hmmmmmm.... I actually read this whole thread... I do understand where most people are coming from and are saying about what it looks like or maybe what it seems like as far as WB skins being different. My background is architecture and I know about boxes and rectangles. The fight between form and function never ends. My take is that design goes through cycles. At this moment in time there are not as many "different" skins. There are also not as many new skinners either. Maybe

I have to admit that while the programs are better, I have not really seen anything new. I, in my comments to skinner, sometime congradulate them for exploring the transparentcies and making new shapes. Using new fonts, or making use of new areas to skin is nice but not innovative enough. Where are the skins like Quake, or Blue Flame? What about making something like BlindJAFO X, Circus, Ditital Age, Document, Dusk, Galactic Civilizations, or Magnum? I know of these skins and others bec

Wow, I didn't serve in any Miltitary so maybe I shouldn't post but I always admired those who served their country (what ever country it is) I wanted to do it but I just couldn't see 4 years of my life to it. I really am into the Navy. I guess the closest I will get is being a security screener at an airport. I have to wait because the position is filled.

I am sure if it becomes super popular and stable, MS and other will want to patent there designs or ways of skinning on there programs. Basically not allowing other programs to skin it or getting lawyers to sue companies for skinning there products. While I do believe it will become popular, I do not believe it will become a market that is so big that MS and other will use there power to overrun. I think it will become a large niche market run buy small businesses and large media outlet

It will take me some time to read all the comments here. I have to say at this moment it is refreshing to see responcibiliy among owners of a company. There is a natural tendancy for any company to squeeze out compatition and get lazy once the compotition is gone. Even lobby the government and hardball small businesses because they DON'T want to change or are afraid of competition. Airliners are a good exaple. Southwest is doing great. And why not? I wanted to know if this is for real. This site known as Power Web is selling there services for 7.77 a month. The main thing is for me is the bandwith. If I have a site that has 30mb of stuff and 1 person goes through the whole site, I can currently at the site I am on, have 3 more poeple visit the site. Its true for me too that MMJB is a very good player. I thought it was really going to be the future of players. It would be if somehow the music industry can stop back biting each other and come up with a real way to put music online. (I still can't figure out why they just can put music that is playing on the radio online, it is already out threre so what is the big deal?)
