I'm still trying to find out what is going on with Desktop X. I emailed stardock but I got no responce yet. I starting to wonder if I just installed it wrong but I can't image installing it an not showing these functions. I am seeing that in the alpha blending area for an image, there no longer is a subtractive, additive, and other options. Is it possible to put them back in?? This is the reason why I got some responses that in the WinStyle Groovy Theme, ANGELDX did not have a subtractive transp

you can't upload from other site with the .suite extention. It doesn't allow you too. I got permision for a wallpaper upload from Deviant Art and it wouldn't do it. permission is always good. I agree with elvee on that. Especailly if the work is recent. If it is not recent (as in not in the last 3 or 4 months) the at least ry to contact the original aurthors. Some of the ones I want to upload are aurthors from years ago, and I am not sure if they changed their names or just gone. I also would like to know if that site also has downloads (Like 2 mb) and how many peple download from that site. I understand where you coming from, but as I learned site maintainance and bandwidth are not free and eventually has to be paid for. Other sites with skins, if you haven't noticed, have avertizing all over the place and the infamous pop up window. Even that is a not bad considering how much you get from the site. what I do is make the thumbnail a small file size and dimention (like resize the 1024 by 768 by 50 percent) Then where it asks for the file of the skin just put the skin in. (or in the case of a wallpaper put the original file or zip in) In any case the preview file (if not resized 50%) could also be saved in JPEG format but under a lower quality. Maybe that will help.

It takes me 2 and a half hours to go over the areas I like to browse (like 10 in all not including the message board and WinCust news whcih would make it 12) How long does it take you?? I have a 56k modem (of which I thought ment 56kilobytes per second but apparently it means 4kb at best a second) And if it take you a long time to browse all the sections then what do you think you need to get at the stuff you think you might want???

I also notice that even whe the server went down I would still get the top "wincustomize" image before it showed me the server 500-14 something or other page. Explorer checks for new stuff on the page and old stuff it just reloads from the temp file on your hard drive. Even now the first thing that loads up it the header of Wincustomize. That should help a litte with the bandwidth.

I found it. In windows Microsoft Explorer, go to properties The General setting should come up. Then go to Settings. Choose "Everytime you start Internet Explorer" OR "Automatically" Taht way your browser is not always asking the server for reloading images that you already have. Mine was originally set to "ever visit to the page" of which is not nessicary becuase when you go to a new page it will auto matically load up a new page anyway(unless you

That could happen, collapseing undr it's own weight, being that this stuff (I love this stuff, BTW) is only going to get more popular.
