I think widgets have a place. I still say that Yahoo was hoping that it would get more people interested in using its API'S than developing widgets or gadgets. I definitely have plans for DX. I have had plans for it since DX 1.x back when I was at DeVry learning how to code and junk. DesktopX should be promoted in schools nationwide as far as I am concerned. You can make all sorts of cool apps and mini-widget/gadget progs with it.

As I learn more, I am getting the feeling that I should start out with my A+ and Network+ certs and maybe get a security cert later (because I want to get into network security) The other certs I guess will be whatever the company wants that I am hired for. The school I am going to is really a godsend. Did I tell you you can get MAC (old refirbished ones) for 50 bucks? Authorized dealer to boot (same with PC's and Microsoft)

well... I sort of want to get into systems administrator and network configurations. I am also into network security. But what I really seem to want to get into also is working with applications (not making them so much, mind you, just working with them). I see that all the time in the want ads online. In about 5-6 months I will have gotten around 500 hours of hands on work thanks to a non-profit organization in the Bronx NY for free. Great right?
