Nope, didnt help. Still cant zoom. Using Win2K professional, gonna try at home tonight and see if it works on my XP-system.

But if you cant solve it any other way, I'd rather have a button that inserts a @ instead of having it fixed between two fields as in LWN. Not that I like that solution either :p
Mmm and I hope SD dont use the same solution for @ as in LWN. That one was a bit easy and looked awful, IMO :)
Just curious....does galciv send in strategies yet, or is it just the score?
I cant zoom. The small buttons changes so it looks like they are pressed in and releases fine when I dont click, but it never zoom anything. Was with a new game. Gonna reinstall galciv and see if it helps.
Wow, what a list! I have an addition to the known problems, tho - unless you have solved it without writing it here... 7) Ppl with Swedish/Danish/Norweigan regional settings cant write the @-sign in the metaverse submit-screen. Also not use chars like åÅäÄöÖ
Thanks for trying, but I doubt TrayMonitor aka TrayServer is the same as Component Tray that you found.
Hahahahaha. Yeah, but why? What does it do for me?
Smartexception intercepts application crashes, so when you are having a crash which makes the game exit to the desktop you get a dialog box from Smartexception with some choices. From there you can choose to open the log-directory and open the report using notepad for example and post the content in the forum here. So it's for application crashes, and only works if mcpserver and smartexeption is running when you start the game.
The mcpserver.exe that stardock installs have nothing at all to do with the application on that link except for the name. mcpserver.exe is an application that they use to get the debuginfo into the SmartException reports. So, that's why they are installed on your computer when you install the Drengin Game Manager. To be able to collect debug information to make it easier to help stardock with enough information so they can get rid of bugs. Nothing automatic tho, you have to send them t
What does the TrayMonitor aka TrayServer do?
This is what he wrote on the news page: "Beta 2 is due in the first week or so of September" "Beta 3 will be due late October or early November. That version should be feature complete." "This week we'll be fixing up the diplomacy screen, fixing various playability problems and bugs and then we hope to have a beta 1Y that we expect to be the last build before beta 2."
Currently they are mostly ordered by what effect they have, but it's a little inconsistent. I suggested earlier a set of small buttons with which you can filter out improvemts in the list by type (effect).
Arturus Magi: Stack'n Sack is available for free at http://www.stardock.com/products/drengin/default.asp?page=downloads
Problems with reported expired accounts are mostly connectivity problems. The DGM-client cant access the server. Have any stardocker's instructed you to start DGM with the debug parameter and send them the results? What kind of internet connection do you have? Do you use a personal firewall or your ISP's/corporate proxy?
Got the HTTP 500-13 error today again so I guess you have a bit more work ahead, Pat
I hope you have all the suggestions users have made in this forum written down somewhere as I have a hard time trying to remember all :)
Id like to be able to enter the @-char at the metaverse submit screen. As well as the swedish/danish/norweigan chars. Other things Id like to see (apart of the ones suggested in above postings)is the barter at the trade route establishment, as well as beeing able to see some sort of autopilot destination lines or other markers. So one know which ship has the destination marker you are looking at.
Thanks for the note, but this is for sure not a ISP related error. It's the galciv-server that's responding with an error message instead of serving webpage to me. "HTTP Error 500-13 - Server too busy" Background: The request cannot be processed at this time. The amount of traffic exceeds the Web site's configured capacity." As you can see it's not that it's slow or anything, its just configured not to accept any more connections.
Yeah, that was my favourite too :)
Do you have any upgrades planned? I get errors a few times/week.
Hi John. Ive had 8 routes, so I got the extra ones. However, regarding not beeing able to send a freighter where I already have one route for that source/destination....that might have been the case.
Smartexception intercepts application crashes and collects and formats data from the crashing application so one could send the data (manually) to the developers, giving them a hint of where the problem are so they can fix it. With GalCiv it also puts the debug.err-info into the crash-file. You'll find the crash-files in the smartex-directory, they will be labled .CRA You can open them with notepad or your favourite text-editor.
