Seems to be a bug regarding establishing trade-routes with "traded" freighers... Seems as they make trade-routes for the previous owner or something.. I tried to make a route to the previous owner but I couldnt.

I can reproduce it anytime with my savegame.

Seems you dont have a word for a better relationship than ally yet :) http://home.jacobsson.nu/galciv/torian.jpg
Planets with planetclass 34 shows as class 3 in the planet-list.
I just started a new game where my start system was near the edge. The USS Hero was displayed ontop of my system and yet the orbit-shield was present. I moved away my USS Hero and the shield was still there. Went into the system and saw I had a ship in orbit, deorbited it and - whooosh, the USS Hero was instantly moved south of the system.
I dont remember :)
UnionBuster: Yes, that's a good thing that I encourage all bug-reporters to follow. I've used that since the late alphas and even copied the URL of the threads where Ive bug-reported so I can put those to the top if they still excist.
That's just because the new "spy-sliders" was implemented. Adjust those and you'll have a positive cashflow again.
In the last sentence I meant: "I still think that blablabla" is good.
BoogieBac: No not really. I still think it's cheating. But perhaps that's just because Im used to the old OS/2-version and how that one worked. Sure the game need to be developed further since so many years have passed, but this one I dont like :) But hey - that's me, hehe. And about ranges...it's an ok thing to implement I guess. (?) I never used it in the OS/2 version tho, since it was optional. Id still disable it if I got the setting for it. Im not sure it benifits the gam
This one should work: http://www.stardock.com/temp/sx-odinst.exe
It would be nice to have the old (from the OS/2-version)meter that shows how hard game you choose to play depending on which settings you use for the alien races. Perhaps you could even have a set of buttons that sets the races to levels that stardock have pre-defined?
I dont agree. And why doing the real-life comparison? Well, then you might want to say that it should show all systems X quadrants away from the home system, and not the entire space. I cant (IRL) see all systems in the universe, can you? Hmmm, I just like it the old way, now it's easy to set courses for new systems. One thing I might go for is if it's different depending on which game you start. For the easy/normal games, go ahead and show all if ya like, but for the
"* user suggestion implemented: You can now see on the mini map the locations of stars." Yikes. What a cheat. Please make it into a research item instead? "Space plotting" or something.
The crash below occured when I pressed the turn button. The screen is taken approx 5 turns earlier. Dunno if they are related at all... Hehe sure there is more :) There is alot that's not in the game yet, since it's alpha - and there's much left to do to balance the game.
Wohooo! I'll be on vacation but I'll bring my laptop so I can dl the beta and play if it's rainy outside LOL
When using the /s parameter you dont have the scrollbar controlling the text-box at each game's screen. So you dont see all text.
Great news, Brad.
Damn! One point? Gosh. I thought I made my best to get a low score but I guess I have to redo it ;p
