Works for me. Altho I've never used drag-deselect in any game before, I tend to select using drag and if need to deselect, doing just clicks. Anyway - it could be good, personally Im quite happy with things today - I dont see any benifit of selecting multiple ships. But things would probably change as the game evolves. The big question is how to deal with selecting/deselecting ships on the same tile. And perhaps adding so non-military ships aint selected if the selection conta

Silvarea: I dont mind at all, Im in it for beeing able to tell the designers how I want to play the game. For me it's a win situation no matter what. I loved the old OS/2 version and have OS/2 installed just about only for GalCiv. I love this game, I knew that before I signed up for drengin.

Hahahaha. Unfortunately, during your years of business, you've made several enemies. You'll never be safe. Oh no. They will find you...They WILL find you! is there a limit to pop per planet yet implemented or planned? If so, you could have another improvement type, maxpop bonus. With imp's like: Extreme skyscrapers - maxpop +10% Moon colony - maxpop +5% Underwater habitat - maxpop +15% Or something....

I played a little with the namefields in the score submit screen. I changed the first and last name over and over, and when I hit the submit it read: First: Fredrik going Last: for lowest But when I look at the metaverse it reads: Fredrik goingfor lowest for lowest (I was trying to see if I could get a negative score, hehe)

I got this when I tried to play just now. Not a big deal, worked when I restarted GalCiv prolly just my comp acting strange. However, while I played it was _extremely_ slow. Like fps 0.05 or something. Is it that without a soundcard? Would be good if it disabled all sound if the initializing faild, instead of continuing trying and slow the gameplay. Debug Message: Initializing sound card. *DEBUG ERROR: *** Error creating DirectSound object *** Debug Message: Attempt to play un

I had to deinstall it from my work computer, and want to reinstall it again, but I dont remember where to grab the latest and greatest version. The one on the bottom of the purchase-page here points to a different file than the one at www.drengin.net. Where do I get the correct/latest&greatest? :)

It depends on which social project you do. The ones that improves the planetclass is: Soil Enhancement (planetclass increases with 10%) Habitat Improvement (planetclass increases with 10%) Terraforming (planetclass increases with 50%) Have you done the same social projects on those planets?

This is still happening. Sometimes when I take over a system I can get a social/military project finish next turn that I normally dont have avail. I cant see that one in the list of projects tho. Good or bad?

Umm if you choose a name that's long but not so long it should be limited - you still get some problems: http://home.jacobsson.nu/galciv/longname.jpg And as reported before, in thread 2202: http://home.jacobsson.nu/galciv/fieldsize.jpg

I hope you find the bug that prevents some of the users to subit scores to the metaverse. At least one dont see the submit-screen at all. And while discussing the metaverse submit procedure, I hope you add a queue or something for the people that arent constantly connected to the internet. So they can submit one game or a few, later on. Perhaps a new option at the screen where you can start a new game or load a saved, there could be an entry called "Submit to Metaverse" or something. Lemme see if I understood you right: Well, as I understand it, the reason for what apprears to be inconsistancies in the value-shifting when you change the tax up and down is that if you increase the taxes, you dont automaticly get more money to spend. Since the population tends to get more unhappy you dont get as much. So if you make the tax 5% higher the population gets unhappy which cause them to give you less. (or not as much, anyway) When you bring back the slider to the

I just got the lowest score so far for a win: 67 :) It was in the beginning of a game (jan 2182), smallest map with all races using the hardest choices. I found out you could sweet-talk them to give up their defender and transporter, and then I attacked them with their own transporter. hahahahahaha

Well, on the other had it didnt allow colony ships to load a big part of the population like a transporter. It didnt affect the population of the originating planet. Now it loads like a transport, Id expect it to be able to unload as one too.
