Strange Cari. Here it's reproducable every time (using the manual savegame) All I have to do there is to press turn once. Hmm something else may differ then in our installations. Or whatever. Since you've got a few ppl getting the error here, it shouldnt be that hard to reproduce yourself. Ehh btw - try the different autoturn settings, that may differ I presume.

I'm jsut now in a game where I cant press the turn button anymore. It has no text, and I have no ships unorbited that I find with the find button. It's reproduceable with the savegame I have of it. Here is the savegame if ya want it Cari: http://home.jacobsson.nu/galciv/savegames.rar (just press turn and there you are)

Once more I managed to hit a system in a unexplored area when setting my colonyship on autopilot. Which had the consequence that the ship didnt move altho it had the label "autopilot". Would be great if ya could set it to the nearest possible spot, or solve it in another way. Another thing...when setting autopilot for a ship to a place where it cant go, like anomalys for normal ships, or uncolonized systems for non-colonizers, the ship just circles around forever in autopilot. A better

Umm started a new game, the first anomaly I took was a free-ship anomaly - one again, I didnt get a ship. Is that one changed so ya have a CHANCE to get a ship instead of getting one always, or is it a bug?

I found an anomaly close to my starting point so I went for it. It was a shipwreck-anomaly, but I didnt get any. Well, you could have changed the text, I didnt read that close. Were I supposed to get a new ship as previous builds?

hehe no problem. btw...I havent updtated the search-index since I installed it, so there is no newer data than from april 22. Im about to test another search-index, but the old data is avail as before until I replace it or choose to go for the current one. Then Ill do an update and schedule future updates.

Uhhmm I put down a search engine on: http://home.jacobsson.nu/gcforum/ Feel free to use it if you find it useful. You'll only see the older threads there. If I knew how to write something myself that only inexes remote pages from an URL-list and not downloads them I'd prefer that, but this is the best I could do easy. I'll leave it there until Brad or someone slaps me with a lawbook and tells me to take it away :)

Hmmm...This is on the MOO site about E3: Since several folks have emailed asking about the upcoming E3 show I was asked to make an official statement. The short version is that we don't know yet if we'll be showing behind closed doors at the Infogrames booth or not. It looks like we will be showing behind closed doors at the MacSoft booth. It's also a fair bet that we won't be showing on the main show floor, simply because we're in the middle of making lots of changes on the game

Announcement on their site: April 16th, 2002 As many of you know, the Australian magazine PC PowerPlay has recently released what they thought was a demo of Master of Orion III. Obviously this has caused a big stir around the Quicksilver offices since we've never made a MOOIII demo. Apparently what they got their hands on was a pre-alpha version of MOOIII that was delivered as one of our normal milestone deliveries to Infogrames and was never meant for public consumption. I spo

Hmmm..sounds good to me 'cept for the navbonus that seems a bit high. Or was that example if someone set's the game to easy and put all 10 points in nav? Cause having 6 moves when other have 3 seems too much to be fair. I like the idea to have more difference in moves depending on shiptypes very much tho. Those many moves will have a big impact on the smallest maps - good or not I dont know.

Yeah, but then it's a little bit more than a demo :) At least in my eyes. If you have bought the drengin subscription and want to participate in the beta when it comes just post here and Brad will consider it. I suppose the same goes for the last alpha that's due in a few weeks.

Hmm, it's an intresting thought.. Not sure what I think about it tho. Guess that a social project "Shipyards" could be ok to use as requirement to be able to build ships. Sounds fair enough :) But then one could argue that you need the social project "Research Labs" to be able to have a planet participate in the research projects. And a "Trade school" social project to be able to build freighters. And so on. Hmm why not. Sound's like it could be nice.

Right. Those 5 will be able to kick your butt anytime unless you set difficult to easy and intelligence braindead. But then, why would you want 16+ braindead AI's? I'd prefer quality before quantity myself.

No there isnt. Not yet. Just the pretty screenshots :) It's still too early in development for a demo. Unless you want it buggy and stripped from features. But then you'd hate the game.

Good luck at E3, Brad! And for those that want to know the dates for E3, it's May 22-24 in LA Convention Center and not open to the general public.. The exhibitors-list looks very impressive.
