People keep saying that but they don't say why . I've seen videos and read about Supreme Commander and I really don't think I'd like that either. So much focus on economy and macromanagement and it's also largescale. I prefer micromanagement and small maps like Company of Heroes & Dawn of War offers.

At first I expected this episode to be ironic but as I listened I realized it's true! Think about it. If you boycott some game by Activision, will they understand it's because of your loathing of them? No! They will think you don't want the type of game (the innocent) developer made and they will be sacked or forced to make safe stuff. This video has convinced me to complain when I'm displeased with something (seriously). &
Huh.. there used to be another post about this game but it has been nuked. The graphics just look too poor for me to be interested in it. It's not just a matter of having low-resolution sprites, they are also low-quality (ugly). They don't have a solid design for the game and I seriously doubt they'll be able to produce the amount of content necessary to fill out a game of this type.
You must
I'd rather just not have the statistics, leader boards, and cheevos than be forced to use Steam. Am I the exception or the rule?
You're the exception. I choose games on Steam over other sources because of their achievements (Puzzle Quest II for example). I also like their other features and it's so convinient to have everyting in one package. Like I can get a screensho

I'm the same way. I buy very few games at fullprice anymore. Latest ones were Diablo III and StarCraft II. Before that it was Galactic Civilizations II. Steam sales have gotten me used to only paying max 20 euros. Then there is all the great flash and browser games. Then kickstarter came in....

What I bought at the Steam summer sale: The Witcher: Enhanced Edition I know. I'm surprised myself I didn't buy like 10 things. But I wanted the trophy you get for doing tasks in Steam and you had to buy atleast one thing to do that and also I've heard alot of good things about The Witcher and 2 euro is nothing. I didn't buy anything else since I didn't find the games I wanted dirt cheap. I

Who cares? 30 days is not much. I remember being impatient like you from when I was a kid up til I was 16. Also, the Xboxers will say if it's good enough. As for spoilers, don't visit the Skyrim forums. I play Diablo III but I don't visit the Battle.Net forums since I don't want things spoiled (reading about the achievements did that!) and also because it's a cesspool. Nothing to gain there.

With everybody loving Civ here it makes me feel like I'm not part of the TBS group [e digicons]:([/e] But I see it like I evolved in strategygaming and now favor the Real Time part of strategy [e digicons]:)[/e] My first Civ experience was like 15 years ago (plus minus two years) with Civ II The Test of Time. I played the first game together with a friend and it didn't go well....a Russian came after only a few turns and said something about keeping ou

My opinion on ads varies heavily depending on what types of ads we're talking about. The ones which blink and say YOU'VE WON!!! CLICK HERE TO REDEEM YOUR PRIZE!!! I don't click on. I don't even get annoyed by'em. I just sincerely wonder if the guys putting the ad on the site really believes that that ad will help. The movieads I tolerate depending on the site. But I really don't care. I believe people are too

olek_skilgannon , MAN! At first I thought the Australian dollar to be crap but it's almost as valuable as a US dollar! That's fucked up! You guys are getting hosed bigtime!! Why is Australia being treated as the ass of the world regarding games and gameprices?

Steam is the savior of PCgaming and for that, I'm grateful. I LOVE its social features with friends list, achievements, easy printscreens and the communitytab so I can see what my Steamfriends are up to (who they added as a friend, what achievements they got and what games they bought). Gaming is more fun with Steam [e digicons]:)[/e] Obviously voted: Yes, and I like it!
Thats all good, but do you draw the line somewhere? When comes the point where you go from 'not my business' to 'that should be my business'? What if you learn that someone is donating to some extremists site? None of your business? I cant believe that. Maybe i just have a problem with your generalization of the matter. Or do i miss something here?
If I learn that someone
This is incredibly important to the industry. Not having access to more memory is very limiting these days. For instance, for those of you who have read Elemental: Destiny's Embers, you know that the Fallen aren't just "big humans". They are, effectively, a collection of fantasy archetypes. The Ironeers are supposed to be dwarves . But we can't have lots of equally

Jeez people! If I was Brad I would think of stop asking you things since half the answers have unneccessary things like: "Yeah, if the game is good" and "don't exclude people that have 32-bit" I'm with it all the way.

I agree with Ironman modes. It's vastly needed in games. Like old FPS games like Half-Life and Quake & Quake II. Save before a hard engagement and the challenge is gone....don't save and you might die three times in a row (which is really frustrating) but you FAILED and don't deserve to go further on that difficulty lvl. I know I need Ironman modes to keep a challenge up. Speaking of that, I'm going to go Ironman mode on Quake & Q
