People keep saying that but they don't say why . I've seen videos and read about Supreme Commander and I really don't think I'd like that either. So much focus on economy and macromanagement and it's also largescale. I prefer micromanagement and small maps like Company of Heroes & Dawn of War offers.
Don't really like Supreme Commander 2 so don't think I'll like this. I'll try a demo of it though.
At first I expected this episode to be ironic but as I listened I realized it's true! Think about it. If you boycott some game by Activision, will they understand it's because of your loathing of them? No! They will think you don't want the type of game (the innocent) developer made and they will be sacked or forced to make safe stuff. I'm the same way. I buy very few games at fullprice anymore. Latest ones were Diablo III and StarCraft II. Before that it was Galactic Civilizations II. Steam sales have gotten me used to only paying max 20 euros. Then there is all the great flash and browser games. Then kickstarter came in....

I LOVE its social features with friends list, achievements, easy printscreens and the communitytab so I can see what my Steamfriends are up to (who they added as a friend, what achievements they got and what games they bought). I agree with Ironman modes. It's vastly needed in games. Like old FPS games like Half-Life and Quake & Quake II. Save before a hard engagement and the challenge is gone....don't save and you might die three times in a row (which is really frustrating) but you FAILED and don't deserve to go further on that difficulty lvl. I know I need Ironman modes to keep a challenge up. Speaking of that, I'm going to go Ironman mode on Quake & Q
I really like what I'm seeing here. Both faction differentiation and the stats. The knowledge thing is also grand. Solved the techtrade exploit. No complaints.
