an idea - maybe they could do something to ignore time spent saving game for scoring purposes - ok - that does not make much sense. question about metaverse. is there something that allows u to download people's playing styles and if so would it not be a bad idea to down load one of these games? or am i just crazy? :CONGRAT:

it would be cool if the scoring system took into acount the quality of your starting position and such. congrats 2 all who have mastered the game but i can't help but think that the ability to get such a high score so easily is something of a flaw in the game. i have refused 2 read the majority of the directions but now i see how its possible. ok....cool....but one question.... after u win like this a couple or three times (once 4 me), how can u possibly enjoy doing it seve
no offense because to each his or her own, and quite frankly i'm unconcerned with getting great scores. but if thats what u are into, great. gotta say, however, that, well, uh, i have a hard time understanding the fun of the 30 minute miracle win. and 4 that matter it sounds like there is some kind of problem in calculating the score, not to mention some basic design flaw in the game that allows such a thing. again, its your game, so enjoy it any way u like, but i'm afrai

i have avoided those guys myself so far, but almost got dinged in the game i'm playing now. took universalists, +7 pq, +10 resaearc, +10 diplomacy. i'm a sucker 4 those big early pq bonuses and will often "set up a lottery" i'm ashamed 2 say, esp if it will result in one of those purty purple worlds. i had just finally gone back 2 neutral when those guys hit. phew! well, i did get a 3 purple planet system out of it, so good 4 me.

ok - starbases - thyt do move, right? very slowly? could someone explain the death star thing? you send a bunch of constructors to the system u want to blast, build starbase, uh...um...huh? (:( :notsure:

I love the minor civs in this game, don't you? they are so generic in reality (share the same ai engine, right?) despite the designer's humerous blurbs (or am i way wrong here? the alexians seem to be evil often). there's the brain children, the hippies, the midgets, the poopeaters, the....what? the poop eaters?! heehee..... LOL actually my friend and i who were playing a kind of succession game, had a bit more vulgar name but....ever seen the movie, Bubba Hotep? heehee.... i thin

another question... when i ask someone 2 attack someone else, does that make me "at war" with the victim?
i have modded the game to allow aggressive minor colonization and minors to invade other planets - gives them something of a boost. once on a small (or was it a medium?) map i molded the caranoids into a quite a force that darn near took down the drengin all on their own. never seen anything like that since, however. they had the personality that game that was once slaves of the drengin. overall the minor power thing is pretty cool - nice to have some schmucks to pick on and/or manip
ok, when you get the random event about the pirates i have 2 questions. 1. the starship bonus - is it for that specific planet or for the entire civ? seems like the latter is too good to be true so i'm asuming the former. 2. what exactly does, for example, a "57% starship bonus" mean? attack? defense? hit points? movement? what? all? i can't find anything onthe civ stats screen.
