ok got the update now. was not there last time I checked
jlegere
break out the whips boy's amd girl's
nope. cannot purchase
we also need to have the ability to block off a tech from research if you choose another path. like choosing nice blocks the option to reseach mean. this could have very cool effects on how a race develops. so in addition to the "requirements" for a tech, we need "restrictions"
sounds like you'r bugged. no update showing here, though the dgm just updated itself.
and what the hell is organic piecing?
the mean and nice are kinda weird. lets figure out new names to them. I think they should have a subject related to trade with aliens. wether we are generous in trade agreements or greedy. this having the effect of determining how hard it will be to get the aliens to agree to an agreement. but if you succedd and are greedy you make more money off them.
it's gonna be huge. I am already at 39" x 28" size. and I don't think it will fit on that. and since I am about to do the trade tech right now I will use your suggestion for the text. anyone want to make more suggestions on the descriptions for the tech I would appreciate them. I could use a set of descriptions for the Cold Fusion line wich I will do after I am done the translator line ( includes the trade line)
correct me if I am wrong but page faults are merely the system attempting to access data that is not currently in the cache. isn't this independent of the game, but part of the OS?
take a look at this entry I just added for Star Democracy. It has implications that could solve some of our production issues we talked about. Baresh B'talga made history today when the peace talks he initiated between earth and and it's in- system colonies resulted in an agreement that will merge the trade and resource production abilities of ALL the colonies into one pool. The vote passed 8 to 1 with only Mars dissenting. Mars however will comply with the decis
would you all mind checking it out and tell me if I am on the right track.
I like the destination line idea
gotta agree about mouse actions. we are getting used to it but when the game goes public there will be problems. single left click to select right click on a square to pop up a small menu. with "Move here" option. and other context sensitive options. like blockade, attack, patrol. what you all think?
Terran - Bait
yes, tall order and farther down the road, but neccesary. we need an empire status screen. take a few cues from the civIII management in that regard
I am making a poster sized image of the tech tree in gal civ style. I was wondering if the names of the techs could be slightly changed if it makes more sense. and also if it was ok to prepare some prelimary description. or are these things rather set to follow the original galciv rules?
I like it. say 1 transport per 2000 population. large colonies would take like 10 ships, but at the start it would take atleast 2 for an established colony. this can;t happen though until we have the ability to group ships.
they get stuck for what looks like several reasons
if it takes care of some of the more annoying things. no need to get them all. if it;s possible :)
mouse will still move( but no screen movement) when this happens but you can do nothing else. if this is what happened to me
well I went into galactic size and tried the same trick. looks like I could win if my transports would move. they are all stuck
well, even taking the time to research phasers and build a fighter, I was still able to blitz them.
research cold fusion then impulse drive. start building troopships and go after the enemy colonies. they have no defenses at this point. some basic defenses need to be in place at the start of the game is my assumption to defeat this. Perhaps a new class ship that cannot go more than one space away from the colonie that builds it. and this ship is available to build at the beginning.
