I like it. and I think it's something NEW. this could really add depth. 1. the closer an enemy system is to one of yours, the faster you learn about things happening. 2. more spies decreases time to news 3. more enemy security increases time to news 4. democracies decrease your security value 5. communisms increase security value 6. certain technologies affect news speed and security levels.

ships with remaining moves often do not move until after you press the turn button Some planets ( uncolonized ) will not allow you to view, move to them, or colonize. colony ships arriving at their destination will offer the colonize choice, but it just blinks then goes away. you have to search for the planet that is up for colonization, move the ship out of the system, then back in before you can colonize. research complete screen still overrides the colonize screen.

have you all thought about copy protection? I have been messing with sim city 3000, and noticed that they are chasing piracy in a different way. the new unlimited version website requires that you register your copy on the site before it will allow you to download any type of addons or new building, scenarios and such. seems to me that this might be an excellent method of controlling piracy to some extent. all software is eventually cracked, no way to avoid that. but the registration requirement

have you all considered self publishing and then hitting up compusa, electronic boutique, and other chains to sell it? I might have an 'IN' with EB. relative works in management for them. self publishing won't be all that hard. farm out CD replication, box production, and do an electronic manual ( that being the most expensive part ). you should check out the thompson registry online. it's the worlds largest industry database. I use them to find little know manufacturers, find I get good prices
