ok little more info. it seems that this bug is as I mentioned tied to being attacked. BUT it happens if you have no ships in space. if you can manage to get a ship off planet you regain control of the turns. perhaps the auto end turn is flaking out.

one thing I hate about most games produced today is that it takes about 5 screens and confirmations to shut down a game. some taking as much as 3 minutes just to quit. I like this. hit esc. choose exit. no more game. simple. easy. fast. anyone agree with me?
the enemies know from the start of the game which systems are the best.
forgot to add caffeine to the very top of the list
right now I would think very low. stability functionality ( way down the list for now) niceties pretty pictures eating sleeping

I have noticed that sending a scout to an unexplored area with a planet under the location indicator will cause them not to move. choose another spot right next to it and they move. I know this has been mentioned but not that it has to do with planets. any one have more info?
the thing where the games goes on automatic and turns just fly by.
I am experienceing random crashes at various stages of the game. It does not appear to be tied to any particular action. winME amd 1.33ghz 512mb ram gforce 2. nvidia reference drivers Soundblaster live ( original ) drivers were up to date as of last month. Anyone else with this problem? please post system stats in your replies.

gotta agree with drakes comments. with this addition. events should stay in the box untill you acknowlege them.
these planets have been targeted for colonization by another race. I would hurry and colonize it if I were you. I am concerned that we can even see that. how would we know what they were planning on colonizing. regarding how we colonize. I would suggest a sphere of influence. withing a certain distance of your colonies I would think that it would be off limits for colonization unless you were in declared war state. This is based on what I have seen. if I am wrong please correct
probably not implemented yet. just keep an eye on them. listen for battle sounds. it will make an explosions when there is a fight and the planet counts.
I would suggest for now that we post one main message to report a bug. Under this we each reply with a yes or no message stating wether we have seen this. in this message also include basic system information such as proccessor, memory, OS, video card, sound card. and driver versions for the cards. we can also give any info we feel is inportant for that message.
for deficit spending should we not be able to go beyond 100%? even at 100% I am not showing a neg flow of funds even at the start.
Got into a situation where the game ran away on me. turn started flying by automatically. within a few minutes my whole civ was toast.the turn button stayed in the down position and I could do nothing about it. I am unable to figure out what caused it. I did nothing that I had not already been doing.

this sight has a great basic layout. would love to play with some of the features and spiff it a bit.
the colony naming error appears to be the code interpreting the variable 'no' as a string in of itself and not a variable. ;)
