I't doesn't really worry me as such I just find it a little confusing sometimes and it isn't a problem with people I know well. Often often JU however I'm writing to to people I don't know very well. When you have only ever known a person through writing it can be hard to tell if you really know them well anyway. But if

Heh, I was joking about the flag. Come to think of it, though, why wouldn't I want to proudly display Sketchy Girl artwork on a flag post for all the world to see? Yeah I though you were, but you never know. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb-Body-Quote-Tab

A few articles ago I invented the word remoticon: Remoticon (re-mo-ti-con): 1) A smiley that is entirely inscructible except to the person that uses it (for instance a non-standard smiley that you've never seen before making some face which you've never seen on a person and thus is completely meaningless) 2) A smiley that make no sense/is ambiguo

Champas has pretty much said what I want to say. I think what the priest was trying to say in this context was that it is wrong to seek happiness in a way which causes pain to other people. So the priest wasn't against happiness per say just the way it which it is obtained. P.S. I watch Desperate Housewives for the eye-candy too, I am not ashamed!

Me: ]*gasp* Say what you want about rich people, but leave the poor innocent wine alone! Dr. Guy: YEA! As a frog, I can tell you that good wine is the nectar of gods! I was drinking it since I was teething! A good Chianti or other dry red wine is the best! Floozie: Agreed. Wine is your friend if yo

And someone else took that appreciation a step further and published pictures of nude children and then stepped further still by making them available on the Internet. And we said, everyone's entitled to free speech.... We made child pornography legal?! Hmm, I must have missed that meeting....

I've been staying away from the inflammatory headlines lately. You can find yourself argueing in a futile way for days if you let yourself get sucked in. When I first started on JU as an unregistered user debating was what I did most of. Now that I have my own blog I've move away from that. The funny thing is a lot of the people I'd strongly disagreed with politically in my pre-citizen days are some of coolest people on here.

Champas: Firstly, women's tennis is far superior to men's. While a few decades ago men's tennis involved skill and technique, it is now nothing but a bash-fest. Whoever can hit the fastest serve, the biggest serve. There is no actual ability involved anymore, just brute strength. Women's tennis still involves some of the str

5. Wine tastes disgusting (much like what I imagine dirty feet would taste like)...beer, not so much. *gasp* Say what you want about rich people, but leave the poor innocent wine alone!

Somewhere a marketing guy high up in an office building in a city somewhere is giving this lecture to his budding protégé. Marketing guy: The thing you have to understand son is that it’s all about the knowing your demographic, it’s ALL about knowing your demographic. Young Naive Intern: What do you mean, I thought it was all about

Living in the sunburnt country, as I do, the tanning mentality is massive. But the sun also has unwanted gifts for those who worship it: they're called melanomas. Just think, when you're 50, you are going to be the envy of women 20 years younger because you'll still have beautiful skin.I don't think you lost the genetics lottery,

You scored as Buddhism . Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Buddhism. Do more research on Buddhism and possibly consider becoming Buddhist, if you are not already. In Buddhism, there are Four Noble Truths: (1) Life is suffering. (2) All suffering is caused by ignorance of the nature of reality and the craving, attachment, and grasping that result from such ignorance. (3) Suffering can be ended by overcoming ignorance and attach

Well i don't think it is quite the same thing as racism but certainly no less hurtful. Nobody wants to be made self-conscious of something they can't help. I've been fairly lucky with the skin colour thing, especially considering I'm a mixed race person (mum white , dad black) in a predominantly white country. When people pointed out I was different colour I never felt bad about it. Canberra has very little overt racism so it wasn't a concept

I think you growed up - you look much older than I remember Well that was the general idea behind growing the goatee, however there was a girl who thought I was only 17 at the start of last year and that was with the goatee. Though I'd like to think I actually do look older I think it's mostly the pho

Sounds like lust to me, but don't knock it. Admire him from afar but don't get too wound up about it, if he notices you fine, but if he doesn't don't push it. You go through a lot of crushes like that when you're young and the real thing comes along as a pleasant suprise when you least expect it (as oppose to a suprise that come along when you most expect it?!...err I think you know what I mean anyway) Cheers, Toblerone</fo
