I have a mouse with the roller on the primary but on the secondary it doesn't operate the roller. Is this something correct? Is not related to Multiplicity? Is something you could add? gherardo

After reading what some of you guys wrote in other posts I feel I have to share my experience I have been in the beta for Galactic Civilization 1 & 2 and now I got into this one for Thinkdesk. My experience tells me that usually those beta proposals are a good deal if you want what is going into beta. I never had to scrap any of my PC because of a Beta. Specifically for Thinkdesk, one week ago' I decided to buy a pc switch to
I was listing the planets in the left box of the main screen and decided to change from a constructor to a freighter in a planet. It opened the planet box and as I changed the ship and oked crashed to the desktop without hope. I was not able to reproduce the bug also because I updated to the next beta version. debugg.err attached. gherardo Debug Message: Version v 0.31 Beta 3a last updated on: Thu Sep 1 13:47:44 2005 Debug Message: *********DXDiag info follows.*********<b
By the way, could we be enabled to add markers on any place to remember "things"? Let's have 4 different types of markers if possible.
Cari, Star Pilot, my thinking is that a starbase is more similar to a planet than to a ship, so at least I should get a marker that remembers me where it was last time. I agree a starbase can become a Terror stars (not common) or be destroyed (more common ) but a marker of the position should be acceptable.
One small question... Why in GC1 the starbases were "victims" of the FOW? Since they are stationary I should have a grab on them one I've found them. Can we fix this in GC2? gherardo
If we have to add a new type of ship, I'd apreciate more a kind of mine layer/ mine sweeper starships because it gives the game more strategic options with a simple implementation since the mine is the perfect asymmetric weapon that currently is missing. I agree with Lucky Jack (or John ) that before every consideration we need to understand if the AI can cope with it. Also, I'm terrified by
Square it all. Please! I'm casting a vote. Add your preference below.
You can rotate your main view so that it is at a "90 degree" angle. I'm not exactly sure why games do this (the diamond map), but it's been a convention for strategy games as far back as Age of Empires. Personally I like it as it makes everything feel bigger than it might actually be, more epic. I really hope I
Ok, I've reviewed the reasons for it. My idea is that IF the map has to be diamond shaped THEN also the minimap must be (like now is). BUT IMHO I do prefer square maps because of efficency in using the monitor viewing area. <TD class="m
Having said that this is not a bug problem and so not urgent in this phase of beta... ... I'd like to understand why the galactic map (and minimap) is designed along 45° lines... (and not along vertical and horizontal lines of a monitor). It eates up a lot of screen space and, mostly for small galaxy sizes, you frequently see the borders of the galaxy and the emptyness of the infinite (intergalaxy space I assume). Please think about it and/or explain why.
I'd like to understand what I should give up to get the research queue... Basically I don't need it, but if it's free... and I can switch it off, it doesn't hurt gherardo
Is there any way to put the debug list in a section and collapse it in a line for submissions in the forum? gherardo
Forgot to say that my version is 0.11b[b].002
I lost the NEXT TURN button after pressing it few times quickly... Gherardo
Thanks Paul!
Latest release 011b002 When a planet builds a ship, it doesn't come up in the list of ships orbiting the planet... Once I also got the classic shield on the planet but nothing orbiting. Gherardo
