This is exactly why I have such a boring nick. I can always get it on any site.

I personally prefer the board like it is. I could see potentially splitting it into a customization software discussion and a skin discussion, but that's about it. But then we'd need a help forum. I don't know. I enjoy the single board here. I think it keeps the WC community tight. It seems like too many topics would only serve to divide us.
Thanks for the heads up guys. It has been removed.
Ah, good point, paxx.
It's not a problem, Keila. There are several CursorXP skins already in the library with two sizes. Your new version has been approved.
There is also a CursorXP skinning guide here: https://www.stardock.com/products/cursorxp/guide.html
I'm not able to check for your IP, but if you don't remember requesting it, you probably didn't. My ObjectDesktop serial number is emailed to me about once a month as a result of someone requesting it using my address. There is no risk here, of course, because it is only emailed to me. But it does show that there are plenty of people out there who would try to get your password, serial number, etc.
If you log on to a domain, Windows XP will not show a user icon. There is no way to force it that I am aware of.
My initial thought was ObjectDock as well, but looking at those screenshots, I don't see any program grouping icons together. I see quick launch icons on the taskbar, but that is a function of Windows itself. Right click on your taskbar, choose toolbars, then quick launch. That should make the quick launch toolbar visible. Then you can resize it, drag icons to it, and customize it how you want.
I did not see your wallpaper, so I can't comment on it specifically, but I'm sure it was not rejected simply because it was done in Bryce. It was probably rejected because it was too easy to make, or it looks too much like other wallpapers that are already in the library, or it was simply not deemed attractive. WinCustomize's wallpaper library in intended to be the best of the best, therefore all submissions are looked at very critically. Bryce is not banned, it just takes a lot of wor
I have used both underscores and hyphens in image names without any problem. I do, however, seem to remember running into a problem with the length of a file name.
That's XPCobalt, with the yellow sub-design in use. It comes with WindowBlinds. I don't think it can be downloaded separatley.
Full screen ads? In pop-up windows? I just spent 15 minutes surfing the site logged out and I didn't encounter any. Is it possible that you had another browser window open from a different site that might have been triggering them?
He actually has several walls here on WC. https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?authorid=369394 It seems odd that someone who has actually done the work themselves would turn to ripping.
Just click on one to insert it into your post.
Users with a rank of Journeyman or above can rate skins, according to the About page. https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?Cmd=about
Malikai, when you say "most of us don't have jobs", just who exactly is "us"? I'm not sure that you're speaking for the majority of Wincustomize users. How do you pay for your Internet access every month? How did you manage to afford a PC in the first place? These things are luxury items. If you can't afford them, then you don't get to have them. I'd like to have a boat and a high definition TV and maybe spend a couple weeks in some tropical paradise, but I can't. I have bills to pay. T
We're lucky to have you, c242.
T-Man is aware of this problem. I don't know how close he is to fixing it, but I know he is working on it.
Oh yeah, a ColdFusion icon. Good one, Peff. I use that every day. Thanks for the opportunity to make requests, Mormegil.
While I agree that useful answers are preferable to smart alec comments, there is no need to tell people to shut up, dditrimer. You should take a little more time to write your posts before you start giving advice on how others write theirs. It's not easy to decipher your run-on sentence with its random punctuation and lack of capitalization.
The ones I immediatley wished for when I first got the set were SkinStudio and Photoshop application and file icons. Other than that, I'd say the rest of the Object Desktop apps are all I need.
Peff, this may be the case on older versions of Windows, but on XP, the IE scrollbars are skinned by WindowBlinds. WebBlinds will allow them to be skinned as well if it lets WindowBlinds do the skinning.
As I understand it, WebBlinds uses an older verison of Stardock's DirectSkin, which doesn't skin scrollbars. However, if you let WebBlinds use the current WindowBlinds skin, instead of forcing a particular skin on it, it will skin the scrollbars. You can still set the throbber and toolbar icons to whatever you want and use the pop-up blocker. I already have coffee, but thanks for the donuts.
Yeah, they're magnificent. I know you're not asking someone to give them to you, right? Because that would be bad. Very very bad. You can buy them here: https://www.stardock.com/products/iconpackager/orion.html
