On the inside of the jewel case that your cd's came in, on the back of the so-called manual are 2 alpha-numeric numbers. One is for the Galactic Civilizations and one is for Altarian Prophecy. Use the one from the Altarian Prophecy to install Galactic Civilizations, then use the one from Galactic Civilizations to install Altarian Prophecy. Simple, no?

LoL! Hey my very first submission! 8,492 points ..which means I blew waaayyyy past scores of people to 2145th place! LoL! LOL Atleast I'm a Leitenant ;)
I dunno, but he posts occasionally at neotechgaming.com. Haven't really talked with him much myself, though.
My copy of GalCiv DE is going to be here tomorrow! w00t! Now the Evil Aliens must tremble in fear before my prowess! Yes! Now they will learn! Learn to FEAR ME! Bwahahahaha! ..........*cough* erm sorry bout that, musta been the coffee ;)
I'm here! I'm still playing the demo of GalCiv, waiting on my GalCiv DE to arrive and playing Prince of Qin (which is also very cool). I agree GalCiv is lookin sharp! Keep up the Great Work!
I've heard that the demo won't support mods - which is cool, I'll have the DE version soon! I've downloaded Ichi Tolots(sp) mods cause everyone seems to rave over them and Stardock said something like "a must have for every GalCiv'er" or somesuch. I'm gonna download the Research, Inc. Pol Party cause that sounds exactly the party I want. Hey heres a question for ya: Is there a limit to how many modules a SB can have? I mean besides that UP thing limiting them.
Well, I'm not particularly interested in a fast game, I'm into maximizing efficiently - so my typical games are gonna be long anyways I figure. I was just auto-launching colony ships before I knew you could adjust them ..it took half my pop from the planet!! ouch. Anyways, so maybe 150 or so for most PQ's right? K. Thanks!
Is there some table or other than I can look at that shows what the best pop is for each of the PQ's? like: PQ 15 - 20 PQ 16 - 30 like that?
sorry if this posts twice ..I looked and the first time I posted this it didn't show up...? Anyways: I've read some things about how many colonists to put on a colony ship but I'm still unclear, to wit: Is it better to put say 500 people on the ship so as to have a good starting pop on planet colonized or to put 1 on colony ship (as per the mini-colony ship) to not suck the life outta your contributing pop world? Oh and if you just take people off your world to boost morale ..c
Oh one more thing ..if you put people on a colony ship just to relieve pop pressure (better morale and all that) can you then recolonize the same planet? say after you build some morale-enhancing thingies.
Ok, I have read some things about the number of people to put on them ..but I'm still unclear. Is it better to put say 500 on them for a good pop base on new colony or like 1 (like those mini-colony ships) so you don't suck all the life outta your contributing pop planet?
Well the Yor (whom I was trying to get invaded) and the Drengin were both at "average" military power ..I think I was "weakest" or somesuch but I didn't want to give away the Techs I had to them ...I had alot of Diplo and Industrial techs (the Industrial just cause I didn't want them to build up too quickly). Oh well, I'll just try to culture flip them I guess ..though I haven't been successful at this yet ..prolly don't have enough time in the demo to complete it.
Is there a "normal" range that it takes to bribe some other AI to goto war again the Yo..erm, some other AI? I tried to bribe the Drengin to do it but I guess they must have wanted all my BC's to do it cause they never would ..I had friendly relations with them too.
LoL! I signed up for the Core and Neotech so far ..prolly gonna join them all (what the heck eh?) never know when some member or another might leek some crucial strat! hehehe As for joining an Empire ..I don't think it'll let me since I don't have a serial number yet :( - oh well, Amazon.com hurry UP!!
Well thanks for the clarification, heh. Now if I only had the [insert expletive] game I'd be okay and could BE an Overlord/Knight/whateveh. I think I've played this demo to death.
hmmm, I can't see why any Empire would want to be invite-only. I mean wasn't the whole point of all that "don't post Empire ads in Main" stuff about recruiting? LoL! I dunno, maybe I just don't understand the dynamics of it yet.
Oh hey, how about Bribing another AI to attack one of them? That way, they BOTH would attack the other AI (cause of their alliance) and leave you alone and give you breathing room to build up some Military. :D
If you are behind in Tech, start trading Techs with everyone. Also, (if you have a save before they attacked you) start Trade routes with them. From what I have read from the Vets on these Forums, AI's are less likely to attack if you are a major trading partner.
I see. Thanks.
I was browsing through the Metaverse earlier and saw a listing of all the Empires with a total of "Overlords" for each. Is that just top Rank like a Fleet Commander or whatever?
Thanks for the info, Peace Man! :D I can't wait to try out the full game ...though I did try the demo on Genius just to see what would happen ..well, it appears I still need to fine tune my strategy ;)
Well, its gotta be all good ...I'm whipping up on 'em in the demo with all you guys' strats implemented (thanks guys! :CONGRAT: ) and if I can then pick some more bonuses?? Course having said this, i'm playing on Subnormal/tiny/rare/tight ..not the most challenging I'm sure! heh.
Btw, I only ask because I've been using just one Govenor to Govern my whole Empire ...it seems to work fine.
Whats the difference between the differnt Govenors? Or is there one? Some are just Mr* or Mrs* but some are General*..should I be putting the Military Govenors on Ship-building worlds and the "normal" people on inner social/research worlds?
