One question. Does that many object dock singles cause a lot of system lag?
I concur. I routinely run 5 docks on my system and there's never any lag whatsoever. I do use the "I have plenty of RAM" optimization setting in the ObjectDock preferences, however, so I'm sure that helps. [e digicons][/e]
As a bonus, we have provisional support for Windows 7 in this build, including its wallpapers.
Excellent! Just three more Stardock applications (namely Windowblinds, IconPackager, and DeskScapes--as Fences, ObjectDock+, Multiplicity, and now LogoStudio seem to work on W7 RC) before I can safely upgrade my Vista 64 machine to Windows 7 64. 8)

Does the new context menu require you to generate your old logon from scratch, or does that get added automagically to your existing logons?
As long as both machines are on the same network, you're covered TCP/IP wise. And KVM wise, there is no "switch" aspect. As your mouse cursor moves to the edge of one screen, control is handed over to the next screen. It's as seamless as just sliding the mouse from one monitor to another. The keyboard commands are tied to wherever the mouse is. I swear by Multiplicity Pro. [e digicons]:D[/e]
Lastly, as if the other stuff wasnt enough the Nav. pane and favs area on left will not support trans. so unless its hidden (and I assume most people dont hide it, I know I dont.) then it throws another wrench in the fully trans. window idea.
Good points all around. [e digicons][/e] However, since I... Rarely use the Start Menu, and never use the search bar Never use the Preview, Nav, or Details pa
The following is a post wherein I find a workaround for a "bug" when using taking the Windows Explorer backgrounds slider all the way to the left (turns the background of empty folders to black). I am posting it here because my guess is that it would be a very simple code fix to implement this in the WindowsBlinds settings program so that this manual tweak is never needed again. :) I hope it helps. <div class="Articl
One question though, will it feature full transparency like this beauty? http://fediafedia.deviantart.com/art/Glass-for-Vista-WB-102838445
For Vstyler and others, I solved the problem wherein setting the explorer backgrounds to 100% transparent (or 0% solid/opaque if you prefer) causes an empty explorer folder's background to go solid black. Turns out that taking the slider all the way to the left gives WindowBlinds a headache, but all
Love the wallpaper, Robbie_Boy! Where did you find it?
I did a few major tweaks to my 3 monitor desktop this week! The bottom version contains notes on each of the programs and artists that made this all possible. Enjoy! [e digicons]:D[/e]
Were you able to get the Glass Firefox working, amigo? :)

Over the long term, generation to generation, communication always reduces ignorance, which reduces fear, which reduces hate, which improves the overall human condition. Are you going to blame the medium for this, or realize that people meet up all the time, in a thousand different ways, and a few wind up killing and being killed, unfortunately. For anyone to place any blame on a social networking site for either issue (unfortunate victim or psychotic murderer) would be incredibly ignorant, IMHO.

The thread describes any caveats. Apparently, there are one or two firefox addons that can break it. And you have to be using the Firefox 3, 32 bit branch. 3.5 doesn't work yet I don't think, and it doesn't support the 64 bit Firefox. Let me know what you find out as I have never had it not work just right out of the box.
With any of these solutions, if you use FireFox, here is the add-on that turns Firefox to glass. It works with all of these skin solutions. I highly recommend this. :) All Glass Firefox
One question though, will it feature full transparency like this beauty? http://fediafedia.deviantart.com/art/Glass-for-Vista-WB-102838445
This is similar in effect, and uses the same technique, as my screenshot above does! Nice find. [e digicons][/e]
Hey, Mr. Awesome Skinner Man, I've accomplished something similar using the transparency customizations in WB, but your skin is going to be soooooo much better, I expect. Looking forward to it! Here is my hacked together version, using 007Tinar's INVI skins. I was shooting for Vellum & Glass. [e digicons]:D[/e]
The bigger question is whether anyone is working at Stardock on ObjectDock. There haven't been any new features or functionality for over two years now. Hopefully, whatever the problem you are having is, it'll be a "bug fix".
And they are AWESOME icons. I've been waiting for a set like this FOREVER and now I've switched my machines over to the black glass set completely. Highly recommended and for a great cause. :CONGRAT:
I'm just guessing out of nowhere here, but UAC changed from On/Off in Vista to Different Levels of On/Off in Windows 7. I wonder if you have to turn UAC all the way off to get this to work? Have you tried that?
