Ah, I didn't realize you are the developer, yes? Okay, useful notes. I had installed the full WinStep and as I mentioned the preferences interface was a nightmare to navigate. Eventually I figured it out but found the dock was "steppy" in its animation once I got it 1/2 configured. Never finished configuring it because of that. But I saw this new standalone dock release, so I installed that on top of WinStep and it seems to work fine. &nb
Actually, JCrabbit, this in on a quad core 6600 with nvidia 295 graphics under Vista 64 with 8 gb of RAM...so I definitely shouldn't be seeing chunkiness and slowdowns when I'm just adding more shortcuts to a single dock, hahahaha.
@jcrabbit, YES!, I downloaded it the other day for just that reason and it is MILES better than the current full Nexus interface. I very much look forward to seeing the whole suite make that much needed change. Kudos. Now...about the performance of the Nexus dock once it's got a half dozen or more items on it... While there is no need to recycle anything except aluminum (it's the ONLY product that takes more energy to mine/extract/refine/manufacture than it does to recycle; recycling everything else is actually net BAD for the planet), we absolutely positively need to stop dumping NON-biodegradeable trash (i.e. the few plastics still made from petroleum distillates, etc.) into the oceans. Nature can clean up everything else, and eventually oil will disappear and so will everything made
Dragging to the Recycle Bin has NEVER worked (in my experience) when the Dock is locked (a fundamental flaw in the gadget's usefulness as far as I am concerned). I can confirm the My Computer/Manage bug on Vista 64. Nice find! I don't use/have Telnet, so I can't confirm that issue. Good luck!

They OWE people who bought Vista Ultimate a free upgrade to 7, since they've orphaned the Ultimate Extras (like DreamScene) and never supported those extras in the first place. I think it would be worth MS's time to do this, as class action suits are looming on the Ultimate Extras debacle.

Except that it's already been TWO YEARS since this flagship product has had ANY feature additions. Everything since April 2007 has been bug fixes, with MANY major bugs still outstanding. So, don't get your hopes up. [e digicons]*_*[/e]
2) The fix for the 64 bit issues with the system tray and start menu support can be found in the forums, or you can email stardock support as they should know the answer by now.
