The art of re-labelling 'invasion' as 'pre-emptive strike'. Howard got that insidious disease from brown-nosing Bush....we got rid of him.
Cheers! We tried in 2004 to get rid of Bush Jr. and failed. It's taken us a huge amount of pain to finally shed these Vietnam/Cold War Era relics from our White House once and for all.
And I linked you to the fact that there was no mandate. Or now are you cherry picking your facts?
I saw no link in your responses. I'm sorry if I missed it. Can you point me to a link where the UN "un-mandated" the mandates I linked you to?
But you still cannot explain away your war mongering while proclaiming to be a pacifist, nor can you explain why you like Kosovo, but not S Osetia - other than who did the thumping.
I'm sure if you dig deep enough you would probably agree with Hitler, Saddam, Fidel Castrol and Osama somewhere along the long as well.
What kind of ridiculous non-sequitors are these? I can only assume that you're just flame-baiting here. If you'd like to actually discuss any of these men in some cogent and rational fashion, I'm all ears. [e digicons][/e]
You - The only qualification for a "good" war by your statements so far is one that a democrat starts and conversely, the only bad war is one that a republican ends. Me - I support the ones that were mandated and supported by the UN (re: Kosovo and the first Gulf War), but I do not support the naked and opportunistic aggression of the ones that were not (re: the second Gulf War and South Ossetia).
What you need is an honorable, wise and decent human being running the show. You should be concerned with your leaders quality not his party. If that had always been the criterion for leadership, not popularity, you would not be in the mess you are in.
Agree 100% (and now by 52% of Americans). [e digicons][/e]
Fact 1: There was no mandate before NATO bombed them.
I linked you to one of many UN mandates regarding protection of refugees of the Balkan wars. NATO was the best equipped from a command and control perspective to execute the military objective in the European theater.
Fact 2: There was no GW2. The first one was not over. A cease fire is not an armistice.
Your semantic argument is irrelevant to the point at hand.
One of those NWO/Trilateral guys, it appears.
Nope. But it is a smaller and smaller world and our economic interests are irrevocably interconnected. Ironically, in fact, Bush's borrowing has made us MORE interconnected and subservient to the often contrarian positions held by our Chinese bankers, for example. As as far as the NWO. Just because Sarkozy would love to see the French nation relevant on the world stage again, doesn't mean it's ever
Oh...and who died and made the UN God over who is allowed to live and die on foreign soil?
Generally I agree that the UN shouldn't set our foreign policy, but in the case of Iraq, they were indeed smart enough to say there was no legitimate case for us going into Iraq a second time. And, as it turns out, they were right. My position is simply that it's MUCH easier for us to be the world's lone superpower if we're not going it alone if we don't have to.&nbs
is that because the US was the 'last in' in WW2 and 'first in' in 'Nam?
Actually, the French were "'first in' 'Nam". We foolishly went in to bail them out as you might recall.
Just curious...as I was one of those rarities...a Hippy that despised the treatment of the Vietnam vets/returned soldiers....
I agree with you 100% on the treatment of our Veterans, from ALL recent wars. It's been disgraceful. Fellow Hippy :)
There was no UN mandate - it was a NATO show, and so you are justifying Hungary 1956 and Czheckoslovakia 1968? I am glad Bush was so warmongering.
Actually there was a clear UN mandate. NATO was charged with handling the operations for the UN because of logistical, military, and politicial issues. I provided you with clear links to all of that in my response. You can also just search Google for it. There is no dispute about how each of these con
Yes, I had NOD32, and it failed, and it failed for several people I know.
Yeah, that's why I mentioned Kaspersky in my post last page. That's what I used to clean up after the only NOD32 failure I have ever seen. Still an AMAZING track record for NOD32, but that's why it slipped to #2 on my list.
NATO Mandate? So Hitler was justitfied in going into Poland because he had an Axis mandate?
I'm going to have to let the facts speak for themselves here. Your criteria even here supports my assertion. In that I said a NATO AND UN mandate, which means the MAJORITY of nations felt intervention in the Balkans was a universally good thing. Something that has been born out by removing the genocidal fascists from power and seeing them tried and executed fo
Printing out money definitely is not the solution. Our buying power will just weaken and debt will hardly be reduced that way. It will also affect dollar value.
Precisely. The truth is that WE, the taxpayers, will be paying this back from our own productivity (as in tax revenue surpluses) for decades to come. The Fed can't print our way out of this since the real value of the debt remains the same. In other words, we can print new dollars, but

Good luck, man. I know many, many friends who've quit and it REALLY helps to have support people around you. In California, smoking is regarded one step beneath having the plague so there are LOTS of people to help one quit, hehe. I really do hope you succeed at giving it up. Peace.
I highly advise using layered protection for the best security. Yeah, they still need to work on making their stuff a bit more transparent and less intrusive - but none of these programs protect against everything, so it's much better to have several different types of protection.
I agree with this advice 100%. NOD32 used to be my recommendation hands down. It's the one I've used to help friends, family, and corporations, who used Norton, Macafee, AVG, etc. until they got infected. But the new Kaspersky has gotten rid of their bloated/slow operation and they've caught a few very esoteric trojans than NOD32 missed...for the first time ever. And this is in the wild, not hypothetical tests. So, I'm rating Kaspersky #1 now and NOD32 as #2. NOD32 is currently what I ow
I doubt that. And no, no where can I find anyone talking about a deficit of $10-11 trillion
I'm sorry, the word should be total DEBT , of 10-11 trillion, not (annual) deficit. I have edited the post. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. Here is the citation of the actual total US debt to date. from http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/ <
