Whoo hoo!!! [e digicons][/e] Deskscapes is booting up and running in Windows 10 x64 reliably now. It no longer causes startup errors, etc. [e digicons]:D[/e] Bugs: The multimonitor issues I mentioned in my previous posts remain. Problem#1 - multimonitor ID mismatch between Deskscapes and Windows 10 For example, with three monitors, which Windows 10 labels as 3 1 2 with 1 being the primary in the middle, Deskscapes

So far it's flawless on every machine I've tested or installed it on. Even my Windows 7 machines have all been upgraded now. And yes, it's faaaaaaaaast! [e digicons][/e]
So is anyone at Stardock working on a fix for this?
Of course they are. :)
As I stated in my previous (multimonitor bug report) post above, Deskscapes works fine for me. Here's my working setup: Windows 10 Pro x64 (in place upgrade from Windows 7 Pro x64) DeskScapes v8.21 (all default settings, except "enable support for additional graphics cards" is OFF, as I only have one card in this rig) Shark007 Advanced Codec Pack for x64 (no idea if this is needed for the Video 'scapes or if this is just legacy) PhotoDream on Pr
Very nice indeed. This would be a fine skin to go along with these gorgeous Pharaoh icons. http://www.ohmyicons.com/previews/pharaoh/ip_pharaoh/index.html
It works for me, upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10, but I tested fresh Deskscapes (all v8.21) installs on Windows 10 betas with only the same problems detailed below. I don't use Task View, so I can't comment on that. But the only bug I see regularly is a multimonitor assignment one. Monitor layout (according to Windows ID in Windows 7 and 10, both x64). 3 1 2 According to Deskscapes the monitors were the same under Windows 7, but under Win
The real question is whether WindowBlinds 10 will be able to tap into the Aero Transparency/Blur API that has returned to Windows 10 via the taskbar/start menu/etc. I would love to be able to run my old "all glass" skin from Windows 7 on Windows 10. :)
ODM no longer offers Multiplicity v3.3 KM as an upgrade option to v3.2 KVM Pro. Thank you!!!
For some reason, Object Desktop is popping up, offering to "upgrade" my Multiplicity KVM Pro (v3.2) to the obviously downgrade KM version. Can you guys fix that at your end so that people don't accidentally munge their installations by installing a newer, but gimped version? Thanks. [e digicons]:D[/e]
It should just address the one reported issue with high cpu in a second explorer instance.
Ah, thank you.
Wonderful news! I am having a hard time quantifying the difference with the new fix. Does this latest tweak also apply to Windows 7, or must we be running on Windows 8.1 or later to see the effect? Apologies in advance for "nerding" you guys on this one, but I run Deskscapes across all sorts of different multiple monitor and single/multi-gpu test configurations, so I guess I am looking for a slightly more technical description, vis a vis a change in threading
This is like Microsoft trying to compete in mobile gaming.
Indeed. The GPU in the new iMac is a MOBILE grade GPU. It's only going to be able to drive iPad level "toy" games at 5k. There's no need to switch it to Windows on boot camp, because it can't drive any modern game at any decent settings/frame rate at 5k and you can't install a new graphics card with a desktop grade GPU in it. &
so you can scale video dreams which are below 2560x1080 to stretch to fill the screen without pillowboxing?
they don't want to have to pay for the 'rights' to that characters. There was even a huge scandal about this change in terms (in the 1980's I believe) when Lucas moved to flat fees for all derivative works, etc. This is why and when all of the original Star Wars authors we
I am using Deskscapes with 2560x1600 monitors with no problems on Windows 7 x64. The scaling settings all work as expected. What driver version are you using with your Nvidia card?
http://earth.nullschool.net/ I think this would make the best Deskscape ever! Source code is already provided (click on the word Earth, then About). While some of the settings could be placed in the traditional Deskscape settings area, others (like rotating the globe, etc.) could be provided by a desktop widget or hotspot, yes? Note that this is realtime data (combined via computational models) updated every few hours to every few days
Almost all of these are dead in development according to the blogspam "article". There's really no reason to get worked up over this outdated nonsense. :)

If you did not, I have sent the coupon to the email address associated with your forum account here.
Ah, thank you. I have gotten it. The email I got previously mentioned only "thanks for beta testing" so it wasn't clear if there was a separate offer for previous owners, etc. Thanks again for following up.
Upgrade options are not known right now but previous owners will be notified of the details upon release of MP3.
I've only seen upgrade pricing (via email) for those that beta tested v3. Any word yet on upgrade pricing for previous owners of 1/2/Pro?
The coupon code I saw today was 20% off just for beta testing, which is a nice thank you from the team. :) I haven't gotten one for being a previous owner of Multiplicity 1/2/Pro yet, so hopefully there will be better discounts for existing owners coming soon.
I've been playing with the beta for a while now and I must say that the new video capabilities are top notch! Well done. Any word on special upgrade pricing for existing Multiplicity 2/Pro owners?
It looks like a trash can.
The work is worth it, in my opinion. But the sales page, etc. can be pretty damn confusing, with specials, overlaps, etc. For example, "Nefertiti" at first just seems to be his "Cleo" package but with a white woman and family (not at all accurate) in place of the far more accurate Egyptian woman and family. But there also seems to be icon differences as well. AND "special editions" for everything. So between "Pharaoh" (4 editions!), "Nefertiti" (2 editions),
