When I create the new dock, I go to the position settings and tell it to go to the 2nd monitor and it doesn't go; the check box stays on primary and leaves it on top of my existing docks. Please help!
This bug was reported in this thread about 3 months ago. Count yourself lucky. There are unpatched bugs in OD that go back 3.5-4 years now...

Hey amigo! After much trial and error, I have narrowed the bug down for ya. 8) In the latest Deskscapes rev, the problem ONLY occurs in the Photodream dream when "Move picture in three dimensions" is Enabled and only on Nvidia graphics cards. It just so happens that this is my default hardware/dream configuration for every monitor I own, haha. I have found the acceleration of Office 2010 to be well worth the upgrade. It's night and day. [e digicons][/e]
Effects work on ALL dreams and always have done. Au contraire, my fine amigo, I have tested this on Vista 32 on a one monitor system (nvidia graphics) and Windows 7 x64 with 3 monitors (nvidia graphics) and while the preview shows an effect working on Photodream, hitting Apply causes the monitor to refresh one image every X seconds, smearing the background, and losing the background image, etc. Then it kills all
Effects still do not work with Photodream and Dreams like them. Otherwise this is great stuff!
I believe that this was faked to go viral, according to the consensus of the worldwide Internets. [e digicons];P[/e]
Because it was probably the last program to run a script from that directory via an elevated command prompt?
The best thing to happen to any PC is the replacement of the main system hard drive with an SSD. It's instant on, instant program access, almost no boot time whatsoever, etc.
As I recall, the imacs themselves don't have a bios, are 'instant on', and 'just work'.
Neither of those things are true. Macs have the EFI bios, they take just as long as any comparable PC to boot, and they crash just as often in my experience (which is to say, VERY rarely in the modern OS age). I can't remember the last BSOD I saw.

I bought all my nephews and cousins iPod Touches and they use them all the time (video, music, a few games). But when they have serious games to play or work to do, they log onto their desktop or laptop PCs.

Without violating my NDA, I can say for certain that the current incarnation of the iPad is NOT what Steve originally was shooting for in his long term plans. His dream certainly WASN'T a big iPod Touch... But as people have mentioned, battery life for a full OS is the current is
50% of the people who have one use Windows on it where did u get that stat?
From Apple's own reports of what host computer's OS is used with the iPad... I think the poster's wording should have been "use Windows WITH it" to be more precise.
How is the iPad a threat to Windows since 50% of the people who have one use Windows on it?
Agreed. It isn't a threat to anything except iPod Touches. I use an iPod Touch as my car media player. Since the iPad is still too small for web browsing, has no professional applications for working in the fields I work in, and is missing key features that would make is useful as a videophone, etc.

Too small for my liking, but clearly far more useful than an iPad. Thanks for pointing this out! [e digicons][/e]
I can't run ANY of the programs I use every single day on an iPad. I can't even run the OS X programs I run every so often on an iPad. My iPod Touch makes a great music player for my car, and the iPhone would be great if it wasn't for AT&T, but... Except for web browsing, and honestly, the screen is too small to be a serious web browser, there isn't any reason for me to upgrade from my handy dandy pocket-sized iPod Touch to a much larger one with the exact s
Beta for 3 years? They talked about it for 3 years but that doesn't mean they were working on it for 3 years.
The last Beta for OD2 (v1.9xx) was indeed about three years ago. No one released an updated version during that time because Brad chose to divert Stardock (his company after all) from their core business of Windows customizing in an attempt to become a competitor to Valve's Steam...via Impulse.
