When i was a teenager, around 18 or so, i decided to try skiing, so off we went to Killington VT, got all the stuff i thought i needed (just forgot about taking lessons) so down the mountain i go, right into the first pine tree on the slope, so i had to be taken off in that stretcher thing for a broken leg, and gallons of pine sap that took months to get off my body, that ended my skiing career, i beat Sonny Bono to the punch but i survived

I use the HIS Radeon ICEQ turbo 4850 video card, and it does everything i need it to, very reasonable in price, i do a lot of graphics/photo work on mine and this card handles it without a problem at all, one thing i did invest in for 60 dollars is a temp/fan control system, it goes in a 5 1/2 drive bay, with 4 temperature sensors you place where you want, and you can also adjust the fan speeds, it gives a nice digital readout of the 4 temp sensors, plus it makes your rig look really good as

Well i made the jump to SP2, and it installed without a hitch, is there a difference? well maybe a tiny performance increase, but no problems whatsoever, then again i am always messing with settings and such, that if the worst happens i just reformat and reinstall, and that keeps me busy and out of trouble messing something else up, only way to learn is by mistakes

Vista SP2 (Beta) was released thursday i believe, i did dual boot vista/xp on my system, and vista is noticeably faster, then again, it is a new system with new hardware, i think vista handles the newer hardware better than XP, and i was a die hard XP fan for years, once i built this system i havent looked back at XP,

I use Microsoft Natural Wireless Ergonomic Keyboard 7000, which i purchased about 2 months ago, and i love it, i had previously used the 3000, but i like the ergonomic, it tends to help the wrists, the 3000 my wrists would burn after typing for a long time, not with this one though, little time to get used to it, but well worth it

I used Vista to create the second partition,(administrative tools-computer management) then booted off win7 dvd, and installed it without a hitch to the partition that i had created using vista, it actually took less time to install win7 than vista

I had some problems with Theme manager, so when i did a format/reinstall of vista, i only installed MyColors and Windowblinds, and skipped thememanager, and i have had very few problems with the exception of Soundpackager (removed)

We do have a worldwide recession kinda going on, when you see police and fire department laying men/women off, that is a good sign that the outlook is bleak , yes i will renew shortly as i do spend a lot of time here, and to me it is well worth it, i do spend a lot of time here and on my pc as it is cheaper than doing other things

I recently installed it, just for the heck of it, as i am not really a sound effects type of person, anyways, it ran ok for a couple of days, but my pc acted "weird" at times, well on the 3rd day, the sounds were extremely distorted, and then stopped working all together, so the uninstall etc, and i am back to normal,I agree with Lantec, some type of driver/software conflict, now i have reached the stage where i am really curious as to why it behaved like it did, Oh i am running windows vista
