Thuglifejunior, plain and simple, you are a caring, good guy, in todays societies people like this unfortunately dont come along very often, as you stated previously, the world has changed a lot, seems like there is always more bad news than good news, being kind and generous is a weakness, yeah, people do view it that way, why?? I havent the faintest idea, i know i sure dont, maybe that is why i dont understand a lot of how people treat each other, even though i am retired from law enforceme

In the next week or so I have to renew my OD Ultimate subscription, as well as my wincustomize subscription, and i forget when they expire sometime around the end of march, will i get emails asking me to renew??? (i hate having these senior moments) i have had a habit with other subscriptions (other sites) renewing and inadvertantly creating another account and creating a problem, i just get so absent minded at times
Reading your post, makes me stop and think for a minute, "one of the coldest hearted periods of our history, where kindness is looked upon as a form of weakness, where generosity and love is frowned upon" your absolutely right, i think i fall into the category of being weak and frowned upon then, but you know what, i think that is a good thing, finding this place has been good to me too, whenever i have a problem, or need a laugh, i know i can get it here, in fact i come here before i even ge
no the windows sounds work fine, but not when Soundpackager is installed, once removed, they work just fine, i know to try and narrow this down, the list would be huge, i can live with windows sounds, i was kind of just seeing if anyone else had a similar problem, see i had just recently re installed it, and it didnt start messing up until after a few days of use, all the stardock apps work and do what i want this was just a luxury,
I dont know why people complain about impulse, i personally think its great, and no doubt about it keeps my stardock apps organized, and so much easier to install and update, i guess people just dont like to be told in order to install this app, you need impulse, oh well i think its great, and makes things so much easier
Love the program Soundpackager, but it doesnt like my pc, i have installed and reinstalled numerous times, and after installs, it just runs weird, then reaches a point where the sound is breaking up, and you cant tell what the sounds are, are there known problems with soundpackager and vista 32??? Once i remove it, and then do a system restore before the install things work just fine, hopefully someone here has an idea or a quick fix that i am missing, i really would like it to work properly
I have run into problems that i created in the past, playing with settings i never should have, and i always say to myself, should i try to fix the problem or just reinstall vista, fix the problem takes ???? but i do know in less than an hour i can have vista running, moral of the story is i should leave well enough alone, but for some unknown reason, i just cant, i read something on the net, figure i will try it, and screw everything up
I am pretty happy what windowblinds does now, its stable and does what i want, is there really much more you can do with it? you can make your desktop complex, or keep it simple doesnt get any better than that, then again, it doesnt take much to make me happy
I installed fences about a week ago, and ever since then my pc has been acting weird, cant really put my finger on anything in particular, hourglasses, very very slow startup, and this since i installed fences, so, today i removed it, and now it is back to its normal self my stats Intel DX58SO MB (2) Western Digital 320 GB hard drives Pioneer DVD Intel Core i7 920 3 gigs triple channel Corsair XMS 1333 DDR3 Ram HIS HD4850 Turbo Video Card <
I have always loved the winter months, and despised the heat in the summer so i feel for you guys down under, my thinking is, it is easier to keep yourself warm by adding more clothing or turning up the heat/fireplace, but in summer you can only take so much off before the police arrive and tell you to put more clothing on, plus during the winter, i can spend some quality couch time without feeling guilty, warm weather usually means i have to be outside doing something constructive, or destru
Well, if its any consolation, we are having a tough cold winter here in New England, snowfall for January already set a record, and these cold fronts that follow those storms are killers, i dont know which i would rather have, your heat down under or the cold and snow here, damned if you do and damned if you dont
I used to use AVG paid version, whenthey came out with 8 it turned into a resource hog, so I did a little research, and Symantec completely re-did their software, (re wrote code etc beyond me but that is what they did) so i purchased Norton Internet Security, let me tell you, this is not the old Norton, very little resources, and catches just about everything, Maximum PC did a rating of anti virus software, hence my choice for Norton, the purchase also comes with a license for 3 pcs, very eas
Went to circuit city yesterday, to browse and maybe find a deal or two, they had the guy out front holding the sign say huge say xx% off, etc, i was really disappointed when i went in, they had a lot of stock but the sales were non existant, actually i thought some of the stuff was overpriced, all i went in for was for an HDMI cable, and they werent even marked down, so i guess i stick with my favorite store Micro Center, friday i went to micro center in cambridge mass, and bought a 52" sony
I must confess, my wife who is in the advanced stages of MS, smokes it, her doctor knows this, and approves, it helps tremendously with her muscle spasms, as well as stomach problems from some of the medications she takes, We just wish she could get on that list of people legally allowed to do it, and the government supplies it, but they are really hesistant to do this, well the higher ups dont have MS so they dont know what its like and how much it helps, DOC you would know a little bit more
I have been using Fences for a while now, i was one of the fortunate ones chosen early to check it out, now i must confess, i use fences instead of Objectdock, it forced me over to the fences side, LOL, nice job on this application, friends and family see it on my pc, and their first response is "i want that too"
Well in Massachusetts last month it was decriminalized, now anything less than an ounce, you dont get arrested, no record, all you get is a ticket with a fine of $100, this is actually a good thing, now the police can use those resources to bust the heroin, crack, etc dealers, and the rest of the group of bad guys, made me think i havent smoked it since high school, which just happens to be a very very long time ago
If i remember correctly unless you created a password recovery disk, the outlook might be grim, i had a similar problem a few years back, rather than spend countless hours searching for a solution, i just reformatted and reinstalled, i know that doesnt really help you, especially hearing bad news, maybe someone else on these forums has an idea,
I know i am probably in the minority, but I will continue to use Vista, even after 7's release, vista has been so stable and "good" to me, never once have i had a BSOD, plus all the years i have been using pcs, vista by far is the easiest to install and setup
I had a minor problem dual booting Windows7 and Vista, apparently somehow, when i install new software etc, i always do a manual "restore point" which i did on both 7 and vista as i was using them doing something, anyways, somehow, these restore files were overwriting each other, as i tried to do a restore and the file was damaged, and the same in 7, so i did a test run, created a restore point in 7, then went to vista, created one there, went back to 7, file corrupted or damaged, back to vista,
Guess i watch too much tv, 19 out of 20
Hey Doc, yes of course i am having fun, but the 2080 is killing me
Karma or no Karma, i really enjoy the conversations and the help i have received on these forums, great bunch of people, willing to give an opinion or give someone some needed help, especially nowadays, coming here is a nice break, makes you temporarily forget just how ugly the economic situation is nowadays, plus its FUN
Oh i would like to publicly thank George W Bush for this wonderful mess he helped to create (cant blame him 100% so i will give him 99 94/100 % like Ivory Soap)
Unfortunately, i have a sister in law that is driven by greed, (just despise this woman) she has ripped off her own mother (who is in the beginning stages of alzheimers) after her father passed, tens of thousands, to the point where my wife and i had to step in and put my wifes name on all the accounts, so it drives people to do it to their own family members. I still ask the question to myself, "how could you rip off your own mother?"
