It would be nice if the game had some indicator that the new DLC was active. Steam says it's in my library and I have the "return of the Korath" campaign, but other than that I don't see anything saying it was down loaded or if there's a way to undo the DLC content if we wanted to. If you go into "properties/DLC" on the Steam page, and unclick a DLC will that remove the DLC content, or would you have to unistall the game and reinstall with the DLC unchecked?
Additional changes have been added under 12/18/23
Updated sectors to support more branches as well as support fewer branches as well to have more pleasing maps and faster generation. GrimAura - Thanks for that tip, but it doesn't apply to my situation. I don't use the mod feature for my custom civ. It was built directly from the in game custom civ builder. The only file that I modify is the CitizenPortraits in the Factions folder. Then I edit my custom civ (in game) to select which portraits I want the game to use. This was working fine until a couple of versions ago. Now the game seems to pull these blank portraits out of nowhere.
I can make the suggestion to the team, but I do see some conflicting possibilities here. Particularly as it stands you gain 1 culture point per turn per capital city for your civ (you can gain more by defeating or taking over enemies), and other bursts or increases tend to be only one time rather than recurring
Unless they've been removed from the game, the Galactic Achievements (colony improvements) "Galactic Commi
Not sure what you mean by control, but this is a QOL issue. We need that info to show for any star we've unmasked so we don't waste time trying to explore every hex around a star only to find out the system is a total dud. If we've visited the star I think this seems fair.
I just started a new game and can confirm this. If it is intentional and not a bug, please put that info back into the game. It occasionally saves wasted time exploring a star system that doesn't have anything worth revealing.
Still getting blank citizen portraits. This picture is not in my citizen folder so is it game generated somehow?
I'll second that request.
How is this going to be utilized by Custom Civs?
I was just able to test Manufacturing Capstone and it does not stack and still came up for a third time in my bonus list. I'm pretty sure they all do this but if I can confirm with other capstone techs I will post here.
Gypsy2299 - That is a good idea. However, this still needs to be fixed in the program. Obviously all synthetic races are immune to the Festron. Probably the other exotic races like silicon and ammonia should also be immune.
Seems it's always hiding behind a star, usually a system that has been colonized or 'core'd.' Have to zoom in to find it and it takes a while
That's exactly what happened to me. Without Publius of NV's tip I may never of found it.
I got this today and it centered itself on the planet it was talking about after I clicked ok. In my case I had already discovered the planet so the Fog of War was already cleared. Maybe this just is inconsistent?
I think you just got lucky. I've never had it reveal the new planet, which is why I keep complaining about it[e digicons]}:)[/e]
Another way to find it is to save the game, exit the game, then reload the game. The "new" planet will be visible. I believe this is another one of those bugs where something happens (in this case a new planet is supposed to be available) but the graphics are not updated until the next turn. On the good side, they appear to have modified the code so that the window that announces that a civ has been defeated now appears
I agree. I find it either by checking if my "advisors" are telling me to colonize this new planet, or, failing that, by going to the planets list and scrolling down to the uncolonized planets and searching for it there.
Thanks for the tip. An advisor was pointing me to the new planet. This would be a much better tip on the "Survey Report" than the current tip. Especially since the new planet was "N
Please add a link to this so that we can find the planet. It makes no sense to say that we find a map, but don't know where the planet is. When I search the nearby systems I never find it. It's always farther away than a simple search of my ships current location can reveal.
Is this just a flat out waste of the special tile underneath the techapods?
Yes, but later in the game, when you can buy enough of the special resource, or trade for it, you can delete it and get back the tile along with the bonus.
For the next update. I think it would nice if we could build more than 1 of the various orbital improvements per planet. If I really want to specialize in manufacturing or science or wealth or food production on a planet then it would be nice if I could just dedicate all of that planets orbital spots to buffing the stat I want . I'm already capped on how many total orbital improvements I can build per planet making it s
Never had that happen and I've played the game for almost 1000 hours since Beta. In my current game I'm generating so many research points that most techs only take 1 or 2 turns. I still only have 1 of the end of tree techs that you're talking about in my bonus pool. I watched the video you linked starting at 32:30 for 2 minutes and it makes the point about those techs not stacking, but it certainly doesn't show the bonus section filling up with the end of tree techs.
Not really sure what you're trying to point out. When I research a bonus tech only the slot vacated by that tech changes, but you are getting one new tech with a bonus. When I pick a tech to research from the additional candidates I get one or two new selections in the bonus pool. This is the 2.1.501311 Insiders version updated 11/20.
We made that same request during the Beta testing. My position that I shouldn't be forced to initiate a policy my Civ doesn't want is still valid, so I'm glad to see you bring it up again.
Your suggestion has my total support. Especially since you can do multiple routes to each planet. Some of the routes you do early in the game to jumpstart your economy become obsolete as you expand your ability to reach new sectors.
Is there any way to cancel a trade route other than conquering the world?
Are you playing the Insiders 2.1 edition with the hotpatch they released on Monday around 2:25est? I had reported this over the weekend and Frogboy put a fix in.
Space Elevator Tech no longer unlocks Supply Ships. Wording needs to be updated.
