I DO believe that people's permissiveness with what they will allow in their homes, and what they'll put up with in regards to television shows, commercials, magazine ads, and not raise a fuss about it, is part of the problem. OH I better stop before I start a rant....thank you HC I agree, trudy... overexpos

... great article. I rarely forward anything (hate to receive them myself), but if by some rare chance I find something I think useful enough to pass on, you'd better believe I run it through urban legends or snopes (or various other sites) before hitting "send". Most times though, I just delete the crap and move on with life. If there's a virus threat... I check with symantec and microsoft

Thanks for catching my typo. I wasn't wrong in the quote, but I was in the reference. still, the OT does refer God in the "us" plural. Yes, I am saying plural as a members of a unit. God (The Father) and God (Jesus Christ), since the Bible does teach us that Jesus (the Word) was with God when all things were created. </T

Another way to look at it is to use as an acronym....F-A-I-T-H. Forsaking All I Trust Him. Hey... I've seen that before. Nichole Nordeman says it better than I ever could... Fool For You Ther

Sounds like the whole idea of self esteem has given way to self gratificatio uber alles. The sad thing is, if anyone in authority does grow a backbone and do something about this, GLAAD, the ACLU and other hatemongers would have the school official burned at the PC stake. Yes... that's exactly it. Sad. <

He said, "Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some." When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish. (John 21:6) Aaaaaah! Was studying this passage this morning. Too cool... ROFL <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgC

Open minded. Is that what they are calling it these days? I think I'll stick with narrow-minded if this is the alternative. If we're not careful, we'll "tolerate" our kids to death. What is it that's caused us to become so desensitized to this stuff? <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bg

I remember too. I stayed home from school that day sick... and was watching live when it happened. I didn't comprehend it all then, but when the Columbia shuttle blew apart over Texas, I cried for days... and remembered Challenger as well. My dad had been nominated as a teacher to go on that trip. Wow.

The administration of Stuyvesent High School must be so proud. Their illustrious high school has made the front page of New York Magazine. Researchers find it shocking that 11 percent of American girls between 15 and 19 claim to have same-sex encounters. Clearly they’ve never observed the social rituals of the pansexual, bi-queer, metroflexible New Yo

I know your point wasn't that he was born in year 0 but wanted to inform you that is a misconception. Jesus was born 3BC not 0. First time I've heard this... where do you get that information from? Just curious. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb-Body-Quote-Tabl

Wow. I can't imagine. I think this is kinda ironic. You have spent months this year trying to find YOUR mother, only to not have that end the way you would have hoped. Now your daughter has found you and and you're able to reconnect. I think that is just fabulous. FABULOUS. I pray that your relationship will be one that brings much joy to your life, and that one day, your son will seek you out as well. It's definitely hard for 15-year-old bo

So I'm riding home from school with my five-year-old son and we're listening to Christian talk radio. The guy on the radio says something about what it takes to "come to God". Noah thinks for a minute and says, "Or you could just die. That's one way to get to God." Master of the obvious, this child. LOL. <!-- Ju-Anchor-Footer-End

LOL... Ditto to everything Tova said!!! I've spent the last year trying to figure out why it is no one else on the planet seems to think low-rise jeans are unflattering but me.. now I've found an ally! Unless you are SUPER thin, I just don't see how anyone could think they look good in them... not to mention the permanent DENT they put in the tummy... ouch! That looks positively painful! Then again... back when I weighed 110 I put fashion above comfor

Can you believe the bible without the "Jesus factor"? Can you believe that Jesus was the son of God, but he is not your saviour and still be OK? Can you believe that Christians and Jews are brothers and will see each other in heaven? I believe a "Christian" (by pure definition) would say "no". Personally,
