sdmcp is part of Stardock Central and is installed with this program. Try to unistall > reboot > reinstall > reboot SD central and you should have your sdmcp back.

Have you tried Display properties (right-click on your Desktop > Properties) > Settings. You should see two monitors there: 1 & 2. just expand the size of the tab by hovering your mouse over the edge of the tab and left-clicking and dragging the boarder of the dock (a bsit like increasing/decreasing any other window). If you can't expand the tab, try decreasing the size of your icons first.
For your first problem: go into your Windows control panel > User Accounts > and under "Pick a task" choose 'change the way users log on or off > tick "use the Welcome screen"

Instead of just downloading the skin directly, try to right-click on the skin you want to download and "save as...". Save it in a directory of your choice and the file should download as a *.wba file. Double-click on this file and the skin should install. Are you using the sys-traydocklet or the sys-stats docklet? Both of these have previously caused OD to crash (I don't know though whether they were still running in the background). Try to eliminate all docklets you run on the dock and see whether it still happens.

Is your OS (windows) in another language than English??? This error seems to happen with non english versions of WindowsXP. If you can (and want to) try and change the default language of Windows to English and it should work.

Which version of WindowBlinds are you using? If your Version is 4.43 or lower and you are using it with an AMD64 CPU then your start menu and your taskbar are not skinned due to clashes with the Data Execution Protection (DEP)used by this processor.
