ok.. so i just recently noticed the 'Edit Vista Part Colours' in SKS6 under the 'Change Skin Colours' and though this (recently?) added feature is already proving (to me at least) pretty cool, its not actually 'labled' what each color is for.. just the RGB of the color. So, I started a list of what the colors are and where they apply. However this is only a partial list as I could not determine what some of them actually changed. If you can figure out what the missing colors

check the file names to make sure they are 'replacing' them

I checked off 'Once a month' only because thats what I 'would' do on a regular bases... but much like other skinners who have replied so far, whatever skin I'm working on holds major priority over all others till its complete. btw, I rarely use my old skins as I get tired of looking at them for so long during the creation. I have found I'll go back to a few of them though from time to time after a few months or so. Plus I like what others do as well and want to get a feel for this and t
Lasse (PixelPirate) is the man :) always top quality and stunning work
yeppie :) way to go all :CONGRAT:
one finger...one finger...one finger...
Its a "Wag of his finger" ;) heh
You can create a regular transparent png image and import it into skinstudio and it will do all the work to make the image into an alpha blended tga image. The tutorial takes an extra step in creating your own alpha blended tga images which you do not have to do but sometimes I feel gives you more control. let me repeat... It is NOT necessary to make the tga image in your graphics program, you can make a png and import it.
its over $4 a gal here now >_< I'm in NorCal and the county next to ours on that map is 'High Red', it should be updated cause we're in that top mark now too :(
happy B-day Snowy and KarmaGirl :D
you can use a none magic pink bmp for the combo box button and a png/tga per-pixel image for the glyph.. if that helps
34 (for a few months more anyway)... I started 'skinning' a few years back, I started doing freelance artwork long before that (before I was ever out of high school). I know there are quite a few of the 'older' folks who started before they were 21 but might be older then that now.
Plz dont mind zubaz bcoz if u wud mind ...i fear u r a mod..
I think I would prefer typos instead of this text messaging like junk >_<
wOOt for more collabs :D good show guys, its becoming a regular listen :)
out enjoying them selves.
sounds sooo nasty heh
open the skin in SkinStudio6 go to Edit Start Menu and task Bar > Edit Start menu > Extra settings (tab) > scroll down to 'Hide user Picture" and uncheck the box. Save and apply.
way to rack up those #'s heh :)
WB will skin the IE7 toolbar icons but its fairly new and most skins do not have the icons in them for it. That should change over time as more grow accustom to SKS6 and actually go through the trouble of making the icons.
check your overall image size and the # of frames for it in the settings... (my first and only thought withthe info given)
Oh...and me of course.
There should be a way to give out negative karma, cause that selfish plug might just earn some  heh
It is a 24 bit .bmp
That should be just fine, make sure you do not have 'flat' menus activated.
they arent big....bout 2x2 pixel
They can be up to 4 or 5 pixels wide (for vert, 4 or 5 high for horz) and just about any hieght (length for horz) and either tile or stretch. This gives you many options to play with them as they can be valuable depending on the skin and/or style.
The 'Favorites' menu is a bmp image and will not use transparency so make sure those are right. The 'lines' are the horizontal and vertical separators and they can be skinned ;)
oh geeze.. how could I forget Tycus and basj :O
First off.. thanks for the mentions to those who did and even thoes who might have grouped me in the 'many others' :) My favs (and I'm picky)... PixelPirate -- one of a kind stunning work I.R.Brainiac -- though I rarely if ever use them, great and innovative skins Mormegil -- just plain awesome MikeB -- smoothness and style JJYing -- fantastic overall vision danillioOc -- would be nice to see another great skin ;) [B
ok, its working.... I opened it in SKS6 on my vista machine and the only thing I noticed was that the 'hide logoff text' was not check so I changed that and re-zipped it as a '.wba'. I then moved it to my XP machine and reopened in SKS5 and the files were not 'set' for the perpixel background. they were IN the skin but thats all. So I set them and its working now. I did not actually take a look at the code itself.. so seeing Kitty has a 'copy' of the old and new files maybe she can pos
