ok.. so i just recently noticed the 'Edit Vista Part Colours' in SKS6 under the 'Change Skin Colours' and though this (recently?) added feature is already proving (to me at least) pretty cool, its not actually 'labled' what each color is for.. just the RGB of the color. So, I started a list of what the colors are and where they apply. However this is only a partial list as I could not determine what some of them actually changed. If you can figure out what the missing colors

I checked off 'Once a month' only because thats what I 'would' do on a regular bases... but much like other skinners who have replied so far, whatever skin I'm working on holds major priority over all others till its complete. btw, I rarely use my old skins as I get tired of looking at them for so long during the creation. I have found I'll go back to a few of them though from time to time after a few months or so. Plus I like what others do as well and want to get a feel for this and t

You can create a regular transparent png image and import it into skinstudio and it will do all the work to make the image into an alpha blended tga image. The tutorial takes an extra step in creating your own alpha blended tga images which you do not have to do but sometimes I feel gives you more control. let me repeat... It is NOT necessary to make the tga image in your graphics program, you can make a png and import it.

WB will skin the IE7 toolbar icons but its fairly new and most skins do not have the icons in them for it. That should change over time as more grow accustom to SKS6 and actually go through the trouble of making the icons.
It is a 24 bit .bmp
That should be just fine, make sure you do not have 'flat' menus activated.
they arent big....bout 2x2 pixel
They can be up to 4 or 5 pixels wide (for vert, 4 or 5 high for horz) and just about any hieght (length for horz) and either tile or stretch. This gives you many options to play with them as they can be valuable depending on the skin and/or style.

ok, its working.... I opened it in SKS6 on my vista machine and the only thing I noticed was that the 'hide logoff text' was not check so I changed that and re-zipped it as a '.wba'. I then moved it to my XP machine and reopened in SKS5 and the files were not 'set' for the perpixel background. they were IN the skin but thats all. So I set them and its working now. I did not actually take a look at the code itself.. so seeing Kitty has a 'copy' of the old and new files maybe she can pos
