Bottom line - Opera is not supported. Debate and speculate all you like but we do not officially support Opera at this time on wincustomize.com.
Please consider putting together a Ship Only pack. I'm really just interested in running the various ship designs. I frequently help test the internal builds of GalCiv and I can't really go about changing the UI, as I need the default UI to properly test.
Correct, that is by design.
Ok, here comes a reply to most of the issues that were replied about... Grab a water or something, it's a read. On the activity page of my personal site, under Skin Comments, if I click on a skin that is in the GUIC category it bombs out with an error. PurrBall : I cant seem to generate an error. This may have been
Hello Andy, We researched the issue and have come to find out it's an issue with your two usernames. Our records show that you had an older account, 'Andy02369', which you have cross referenced with the one you are currently using to log in, 'andy0369'. Unfortunately, your Wincustomize Personal Site, 'andy0369.wincustomize.com' is associated with your older account, 'Andy02369' and not your newer account. When you go to http://
Dark-Star may have gotten ahead of himself there That ability is far off in the future and we do not have a date set when that will be available.
You should be all set The new Wincustomize 2007 Personal Sites are a bit more finicky, and we're keep a closer eye on things. Your comments file happened to have an error that the old site didnt pick up. I fixed it for you and you should be all set now http://simbul.w
A variable that was being left empty, then compared, which made the site think you werent you.
mkdea: And how are we supposed to know what features you consider missing if you never share that information with us? DWFII and others, if you recieve odd messages or witness behavior that is off, like being logged in despite an error message, please report the issue to [email protected] . Please DO NOT use that email address to reque
All should be well again. Thanks for emailing me back guys
Big thanks to Zubaz, Island_Dog, Hankers, WOM, DesertFox and anyone else that my brain is leaving out. They provided additional testing, without which I would have had a much harder time debugging the aspects of the site I worked on.
Fuzzy, Lantec - please check your email for a message from me. I would suggest clearing your temp. internet files. We've tested the slop out of this thing on IE 6 and 7 and can't seem to reproduce the issues that you're seeing. It's possible that its related to your accounts somehow that I'm missing (which is what the emails were about) or that your computers are somehow holding onto a cached page.
Should be fixed now all. I'm not seeing any issues.
I really dont think so, I actually saw a couple holding calls in the UF v. OSU game... They should rename the west coast offense to the Holding offense. Seriously. Oye!
That's a shame, I could probably have you up and running before tomorow morning... Oh well, good luck.

Macmatt and I were talking on IRC earlier. Using 7zip (great FREE archiver) you can archive the installer into several smaller 'parts'. Which could then be posted on rapidshare or some such. You then can use 7z to recombine the 'parts' and extract the installer. Also consider using HSplit/Join.
Fellas, how does one download the beta 3 installer? It keeps redirecting to localhost. If you guys need help getting this site going stable, lemme know. I have some free time I would be willing to donate. If you need a mirror... Rapidshare.com, MegaUpload.com, hell - fileforum.betanews.com might host it, not sure what their limit is. There are a bunch of others. I run a server and have about 600gb of spare bandwidth a month, but I wouldnt be willing to host the entire 1.
I could probably go on for pages upon pages on exactly how bad that game was officiated. But being that I didnt think that UF deserved to be there, and I cant root for OSU, I'm at an impass. Thank your lucky stars for ACC officiating I suppose, Florida fans
The points system is Stardock-Site-Wide (which means that points accumulate from any stardock website you participate on) and is currently under review and reworking. Simply put - it's a mess. It was created for a much smaller volume and wasnt intended to scale how it has been forced to. (It was originally concieved for joeuser.com) That being said, I would invest too much time trying to figure it out, as it's more than likely that it's going to change very soon.
We're using AJAX technology to display the medals. I would research the use of AJAX methods and any issue that your particular firewall may have with that. You might also try searching at http://ajax.asp.net as there are lots of good posts surrounding IE and AJAX there.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We're in the midst of preparing to launch the new site, so I can say that at least for the next week we wont be addressing this issue. However, we have implemented an improved (and tested ) system for rss feeds on personal sites for Wincustomize 2007. When we release, I revisit this thread and post an update for you.
Because wincustmize.org is not in use. Wincustomize.com is the correct site to go to. Nowhere do we encourage people to go to .org, use .org or even mention .org. (If you see a place where .org was linked to, please point it out to [email protected] as it's an error.) Yes, we own the domain. We may have plans for it in the future but currently are not publicly using it. That's pretty much the final word on it <img src="http://
