While we would like to hope that the code we write is solid as a rock and has zero flaws, we know that just isnt the case 100% of the time. While the forums continue to grow and we continue to add features and expand upon existing features, a bug here or there might pop up. Please use this post for reporting problems you are facing, or issues you notice with our new forums. Rest assured, a Stardock rep will be monitoring this post and helping out as much as possible. With your help,

The eternal 'processing data' issue is due to the user trying to browse the site with either an outdated version of firefox, or Opera. If you are using IE make sure you are allowing cookies and javascript to run normally.

Fuzzy: exactly how long did you wait before you tested to see if the feature was working (or not)? There is a massive amount of data that has to be updated when you change that option, combined with server caching, it could be up to 20 minutes to see the full effect. Btw guys, this is a suggestions thread, not a bug thread

Po'Smedly, I'm sorry that you're having so many issues trying to work with the new forums. Try as I might (and I have others trying to break it) I just can't reproduce the issues you're having. It doesnt seem like the problems with browsing WC cease with the forums either, which would lead me to believe that you have something more serious going on, on your machine than just a cookie problem. I would reccomend uninstalling Firefox, SDCentral, and any other 3rd party browsing related applicati

We're having internal issues today, and not sure when we'll be able to resolve them. It has to do with how we publish code to the website, and related to an outtage we had at our main office. It may be some time until the fix for this issue is published to the website.

I have another question about the timestamp issue (I know it's beating a dead horse) but would it be possible to allow the users to select their time zone so the timestamp will be correct for each user, or would that be too much modding? Keep crusading for this and it might get implemented. The more people cry out for these kinds of features,

thomassen, try as we might we cannot reproduce the same issue you are having. The cause of this (as best as we have been able to duplicate possible scenarios) is that *something* on your PC is causing the javascript on the page to behave incorrectly, or not at all. The only good news/result of your testing and situation is that it's going to allow us to write a little bit more elegant handling of the errors that you've seen. It was also suggested that I suggest to you, to try posting fro

Thanks again for the comments. Like to know that people are enjoying them. At this point it's a matter of space. We had to push to get the topic 'lines' at the height they are now, and I'm not sure it would go over well to increase those even more to fit in Post Titles. At this stage of the game, its not something I would plan on seeing soon. Please do keep the suggestions coming though. We are implementing a couple of them.

The mouse hover info is simply there as an extra. Consider that the old forums didnt display nearly as much information. We're giving you the post title and author (in the subforum view), last posted date, last posted by and as an added bonus, if you feel like waiting 1/10 of a second - the last posted/replied-to post title in the mouse hover. We wanted to go in the direction of the standard forum systems, but we didnt say we wanted to give up being slightly unique. I dig the pa

Well that's progress at least. I know how to trap that error a little sooner now. Do you have javascript disabled, sites blocked or some kind of app running that is interfering with javascript? I'm going to implement some error handling here, but my guess is that as soon as it's up, you're just going to get a friendly message about the post text being empty. (Just to clarify, for me, please answer these...) Does posting a new Post work? Does posting your reply

thomassen, I implemented some additional error handling into the method that is throwing that error. However, we're unable to reproduce the error at all here. I even went so far as to clone your account in an attempt to duplicate the exact conditions.
