Daiwa, the edit behavior is by design. I'm afraid that won't be changing anytime soon. Unfortunately the build of the Wincustomize forums that you're using at the moment isnt being maintained any longer and we're preparing the new forum engine (which can be viewed on forums.stardock.com and forums.galciv2.com presently) with a wincustomize theme. I can't say exactly when forums.wincustomize.com will be switched over to the new codebase, but I can say 'soon'. Thanks for the sc

We're aware of the issue with the medal tooltips. It's a bug with IE we've not yet been able to work figure out a fix for. However, we have a workaround that will likely be posted early next week.

These forums were designed to work with the latest versions of Firefox, IE and Opera. We cannot promise compatibility with outdated versions of any of these browsers. Quoting in firefox and Opera is currently disabled while we investigate a new javascript issue that popped up. It is by design that you have to highlight text before clicking the Quote link. You'll have to file a request with T-Man if you would like to see that changed. However, as I understand it, that function has been the same for several years now.

I'll send this off to T-Man to take a look at. But we've tested the current versions of IE, Firefox and Opera and can't reproduce this error. At this point I do appreciate you reporting the issue and we will have a look at it, but further issues with IE 7 (beta any) should probably just be emailed to me and I'll archive them. When the first stable IE7 is released we'll have a look over the archived issues and make sure none of them are present.

As much as we would like to, we're not coding for IE7 Beta (anything) at the moment. As with any other beta software, the inner workings are completely open to change - at any time - without any notice. If we attempted to write for IE7 while it was in beta (or any beta browser for that matter) we could potentially be changing our code for every version. The above was Dark-Star posting with a utility account under the latest firefox with the same editor. Try as we might, we just cannot reproduce the issue. If you figure out what might be happening, I would really appreciate the help. Perhaps some step-by-step screenshots? Perhaps there's something visual that will give me a clue as to what is going on.

The forums are tested with the latest version of firefox and we do our best to be on top of new releases of firefox as well. I've not yet seen (nor heard a report before today) of blank pages displaying. If you see this again (and you're not using an outdated version of firefox) please take a screenshot which includes the address of the page that generated a blank page.

Hello all. I've made several test posts with firefox 1.5.0.4 recently (Friday afternoon and after) with no issue. If you're having a specific problem, we'll need to know the error message if any, and screenshots always help. El Tea, I'm sorry but we will not be supporting any version of firefox other than the latest. Cross browser support is difficult in it's own right, without going even further to cross-browser, cross-version support.

The reply above was made with the smiley 'menu' in the new editor in IE. It's a known issue that it's not functioning properly in Firefox at the moment. The font and size dropdown buttons arent supposed to be skinned, as theyre not traditional dropdowns, but generated elements. The rest of the cosmetic issues are just that, cosmetic, and don't effect the use of the editor in any way. They'll be addressed in due time.
